My Obama Gear Arrived today (also new bumper magnet)

I ordered some Obama gear Monday or Tuesday? Anyway, it arrived TODAY! How is that for service?

I was really excited because one of the items was a navy women's s/s t-shirt, and they always seem to be on backorder. I wanted it to wear while doing GOTV this summer. I have a second shirt (Women for Obama), but it is on backorder. That's okay though - one will do for now.

Also, I LOVE the new bumper magnet! It's very well made. I'm going to find a good place for it on the mamavan tomorrow.



Now I need to order some stickers or something to hand out for my door-to-door work :D

was manufactured in the US? And do the proceeds go directly to Sen. Obama's campaign or do they flow through some fund-raising organization first? Just wondering.

I would ask the same questions if I was going to buy any of Hillary's or Dennis's or John Edward's or Dodd's or Biden's or Gravel's stuff too.

If you buy directly from the campaigns (at least on the dem side), they're using US, Union Made shops. I also know Obama gets something monetary from the purchase, because it counts as a donation. I think they make around 1/2.

A company called TigerEye Design is the primary vendor for the Obama campaign. They also sell swag for a bunch of Democratic candidates around the country. Their web site has a clickable map so you can search for stuff by state. I just bought buttons for Mark Warner, Jack Markell, and Mary Landrieu through TigerEye.

My friend(White Woman, circa 75 years old) whom I've talked about Obama with over the course of the last few months came into the co-op today and she was all happy and showed me her Obama pin like the one you have in your OP.

She said her cousins in California gave it to her and said "they were hard to get"! I said, "do you want to see my Obama pin?".."Yes!"


No doubt, so many stories of people celebrating with high fives the success of our campaign.

15. An Obama sticker in these parts would either get you

rear-ended, a middle finger or someone threatening you with an ass kicking. People are registered 2-1 Democrat but they usually vote conservative in the Presidential elections. It's the old God, guns, gays and anti-environmentalist ploy from the Repugs that wins most elections.

41. I like those too but when I want to keep a bumper

sticker after I've 'flown it,' I just tape it to the inside of the window with double-stick tape. If it's cool enough, my fridge will then find a spot for it. I've heard that the magnetics do pull off paint too.
