To Clinton Supporters Tempted By McCain
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 08:47 PM by iamjoy
Now I know there are some Hillary supporters who are disappointed their candidate hasn't gotten the nomination. I've been there and it's not a happy place.

I know some Hillary supporters feel she was treated unfairly. They feel there was a lot of sexism, both subtle and blatant, both subconscious and flagrant against her. I won't argue that.

And I hear some Hillary supporters think Obama is to blame for this and are now tempted to sit this one out or vote for McSame.

To Harriet Christian and the like, before making that decision, watch this:

Do you really think McSame is better for women than Obama?

1. I think
That the women who are 'tempted by McCain' are already gone. I think they were Republican voters to begin with and that the women in media who are now saying 'Screw Obama I'm voting for McCain' are either die hard racists, or Republicans attempting to throw more shit in our fans.

2. Any who claims to be a Democrat, but is now tempted by McCain out of bitterness
because Hillary did not get the nomination is like someone who claims to like fine wine, but is tempted by sour milk. The ultimate biting your nose off to spite your face. That'll teach the face.

3. Neither has really stated a case for women as anything other than
their obvious love of trophy wives...yes, both of them.

4. McCain, yes. I've seen plenty of proof of that. But Obama?
Do you have proof of that? Articles? Videos? Anything?

5.  ~ Hmmm...That's not very presidential ~ K&R
Contrast that with our candidate--
Obama is intelligent and articulate-- he knew the differences
between Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds...he opposed the war, from the Start...
speeches and interviews from 2002-

I'm voting for the smartest--most charismatic person, in the room...
who has humility,class and grace...

I'm voting for Obama to be our president!

6. To blame Obama is completely stupid, IMO....
Some of the blame belongs to corporate media. Also, Hillary did fumble, too, and it cost her. As much as I wished Hillary would have won, I absolutely will not do anything to help a damn repuke get in the WH.

Obama supports women's rights. McCain does not. That should be all it takes for women who support Hillary.

9. Blaming Obama Is Not Stupid
It is an emotional reaction of some Hillary supporters who took her nomination for granted, see him in her place and feel Obama "stole" it from her. It's not logical, but I understand it.

These people look for every sexist nuance in everything Obama or his supporters have done.

They believe Obama condescended to Hillary as a female with that "you're likable enough, Hillary." Never mind that the question he was asked was very much like, "do these jeans make me look fat?"

I have seen the like (Obama is sexist, or benefitting from sexism) right here on DU. I would hope we are all smart enough to come around and realize what a disaster for women's rights McSame would be. But if anyone does not, or has a friend who does not, they need to see this video.

We are unlikely to ever prove McSame called his wife a nasty name. This video shows what he thinks of strong women.

8. McCain's willingness to send bottles of hot water to dehydrated babies
is a factor.
