Hillary Clinton is Going to Hit a Home Run Tomorrow
Just watch folks. Tune in. It's going to be special.

She's going to put McCain in his place: Bush the Third. She's going to spell out in no uncertain terms what a McCain presidency would like -- A continuation of George W. Bush's third term. She's going to make a strong argument against letting primary emotions rule over reason.

Folks, don't miss Hillary's home run tomorrow. One thing about Bill and Hillary Clinton - They stand tall as DEMOCRATS and are proud of it.

Bring it on John McBush!

15. The REAL game isn't over.
The *only* game that should matter to any Democrat is the general election.

Doubt her, be cynical, etc... that's your prerogative. But don't rest on your laurels now that your favored candidate has the nomination. There's still plenty of hard work ahead to make *sure* that Obama is our next President. (It may seem "inevitable" that we will win, but ... heh.)

... if see thought that Obama had a snowball's chance? Her internals tell her different and just wait until her nomination fight of four years from now. "I SO TOLD YOU SO"...Hillary

52. You're the one who says she's warming up for 2012, not me.
I don't believe she is. Regardless, my point was that we need to work hard to make sure Obama gets elected. Better our work lead to a landslide victory similar to when a well-liked incumbent runs, than to let complacency give the Republicans 4 more years to complete their destruction of this country and our rights.

11. I suspect you over estimate.
And its meaningless now anyway. She bashed Obama... said John McCain would be a better President... now she wants to flip?! And we're supposed to believe her?! meh.

No one who's been paying attention will be convinced by anything she says. We already know how she feels about Obama. Unless what she said about him was a LIE.

18. I hope so. She has some serious backtracking to do.
Her campaign comments about McCain being prepared and Obama giving speeches really pissed me off.

And I supported her at the time.

She must make McSame a clear pariah for her supporters to get the picture. Hammer home the Roe vWade in peril meme, because it seriously is.

Any woman that votes for McSame is a fool.

Hell, any person that votes for him is a fool.

This is her concession speech, not a stump speech. Her only job for the next several months is to transition her supporters to Obama's camp. Read here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=6307871&mesg_id=6307871

34. I'm very skeptical. She has to convince her supporters
that Obama is not, in fact, the unqualified, elitist, sexist vote suppressor she's made him out to be.

Or failing that pretty heavy task, she has to at least convince them NOT to throw their votes at McCain even if she can't undo the impressions left by the character attacks.

We'll see soon enough!

Right now I am more convinced that the Clintons are all about the Clintons - something I didn't ever think I'd feel until these past few months.

I hope she can rise above her very understandable disappointment, and hit the home run you describe.

She missed her chance to stand tall, and do the right thing.

This will be anti-climactic at best.

A disaster for her if hubris gets in the way.

Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 11:00 PM by prodn2000
Runs over to the 3rd base umpire and takes the bat to his nuts. I want her to leap over the dugout and start chasing the beer vendor until he complies with her wishes.

Then I hope she runs up to the announcer's booth and gets on the PA.

I want her to tell us, again, about the "big" states.

I want her to tell us about the "popular vote."

I really want to hear about her 35 years of experience for the 500th time.

And then I want her to get the hell out of the way, quit sucking all the oxygen out of the room, and let Obama get to the task at hand which, in case some have forgotten, is finally after eight nightmare years taking this country back.
