Moderate Republicans for Obama
A moderate Republican co-worker (who votes in VA) voted for Obama in the primaries and he told me today that he will vote for Obama in the GE as long as Obama doesn't pick Clinton as VP. Otherwise he would have no problems going back his old ways and voting for McCain.

It's nice to see some Republicans accepting the message of change.

I wonder how many of these "Obama Republicans" are out there and I wonder if we are going to see a signficant number of them in November.

1. They have a website

Republicans for Obama was founded in late 2006 as part of the nationwide effort to encourage Senator Obama to run for the Presidency. Since that time, our volunteer-run, grassroots organization has grown to include over 1500 members from across the country.

who are big time democrats who fell for Clinton's negative campaigning so they have some issues with Obama. Go figure! At least they will support Obama for the GE.

4. That's one of the main reasons I didn't want her as VP.
Nothing would have energized the GOP against Obama as a Clinton on the ticket.

5. And I would hate to lose the Obamacans.
They make Obama's unity argument even stronger.

9. The ones who believed in fiscal responsibility and support for small business
The ones I know don't think the current Republican party represents those values anymore. I myself know of four lifelong Republicans who are voting for Obama this fall.

10. He is a "Christie Todd Whitman Republican"
who criticizes Bush, his policies, and the war. He did vote for Bush in 2000 but stayed home in 2004.

Does that help?

8. I know several moderate Republicans
who will vote for Obama if Hillary is not on the ticket. I also know several Democrats who hate Obama but would probably vote for him if Hillary is on the ticket. It gets rather confusing.

15. This is the argument that most Obama supporters have been screaming at the top of their lungs
and yet, the media finds one *statistically flawed* CNN poll to push the idea of the so-called "Dream Ticket." I wonder what the MSM's motives are? They want McSame in office and they know that Hillary will deliver the White House to him. She's polarizing and has very high negatives. That's simply the truth!!!

He voted for Obama in the primary and intends to vote for Obama in the GE, but he has stated that if Clinton is sharing the ticket, the Dems will lose his vote in the fall.

I am certain that an Obama-Clinton ticket would result in Obama losing much of the moderate vote to McCain.
