And you don't even need to be a lawyer.

Shit, you don't even need to have passed the 3rd grade to be on the SCOTUS.

it doesnt' need to be forgiven.

Don't believe all the lies you've heard. Irrational hate is usually based on lies - and it's never more true than when it comes to the Clintons. The Freepers drove the hate with their lies for 16 years, and it's lousy to see "democrats" continuing it.

Fuck the hate, fuck the haters.

Or concerned that IranContra characters returned to help cook the intel for Rumsfeld and Bush's war.

Clinton ran a very open government, unlike his predecessor and his successor. The Atlantic Monthly had a graphic showing the amazing declassification of government documents under Clinton.

You need to let go of the hate. it's built on lies.

Oops....he did stop taking it after the last 20 million payment he got in January because he didn't want it to interfere with his wife's campaign. Someone might take it the wrong way. Like someone who remembers who staked the largest share of BCCI. Silly me, I almost forgot.

40. Why doesn't planned parenthood release their donor list?
People donate to non-profits with the expectation of privacy.

Clinton has said that if she were the nominee, she would change the rules for the library, so that all donors would know their donations would be public. But for those who've already given, it was with the knowledge it would be private.

You guys are playing the same stupid hateful trick you did with her tax returns. For months you attacked her with "what's she hiding?!" and it turns she was hiding nothing. They made a lot of money, paid a lot of taxes. We all knew that.

It's a cheap, smearing type of attack.

Obama hasnt' released his medical records - just a note from his doctor. What's he hiding?!

29. You are wrong - there were ongoing investigations into GHWBush that were deep-sixed and you know it.
And there is a thread in GD about the same characters from IranContra helping Rumsfeld out on his war plans for Iraq - gee - the same Iraq war Bill helped sell to Dems for Bush.

You are wrong. Bill's govt. was open for much of his business, but Bill shut the door on Poppy's secrets and protected his privilege. And THAT helped BushInc thrive and strengthen and return.

Show us the resolved matters in BCCI, Monkey - show it. Those matters glew jets into NYC buildings. THAT is what Closed Government wrought and it didn't focking skip the 90s.

27. Supreme Court = Fight for Constitution. Senate = Fight for the people.
Two COMPLETELY different causes. They don't mix well. Everybody talks about putting politicians on the bench every time there's an opening. Hillary should fight for universal health care instead fighting for interpreting if the constitution should uphold universal health care.

28. I don't think she is qualified for SCOTUS. She knows
policy backwards and forwards, but she has been away from the legal scene too long. (And I don't think she was every that serious about law or that great a lawyer to begin with.) I have read about her foray into the role of a trial attorney. Let's just say, she probably wasn't a real fit in the courtroom. The justices have to be stellar lawyers, able to argue legal issues and analyze case law. She is brilliant but it takes more than that to be a Supreme Court Justice. It takes a lifetime developing legal skills and knowledge. No way.

33. John Edwards would be a better choice.
He practiced law for many, many years. A Supreme Court justice really should understand procedure better than Hillary would after not practicing so many years. When she did practice, she did corporate stuff, transactional stuff not trial. She would be in over head. Just being smart is not enough.

Although she has a great mind for law, she's never served on a bench. I think a SCOTUS justice should have more contemporary experience .

What about Attorney General? She sure is tough. On the other hand, she does like to play fast and loose with the rules, and that could spell trouble.

47. If you think Hillary would like that job, you don't know much about her, IMO.
She is all about limelight, public appearances, politics. I don't mean that in a bad way at all.

SCOTUS is all about legal details, writing in a room by yourself, making decisions with a handful of other academic type lawyers, and avoiding public appearances as much as possible.

She's a politician. Not a legal scholar. She even failed the bar exam the first time she took it.

He could stand up for the struggling by attacking the corporate "personhood" ideology of Scalia and his cohorts. Attorney General would be cool--but the Court would be a long term impact. Remember that Roberts is going to be around for awhile age-wise-- so we should match that with another younger presence.
