the longer he was in politics the more right he leaned...That is one crazy family...John is now serving time He was caught up in the TN Waltz Sting.....He shot shot at cars on the interstate between Nashville and Memphis...His sister is not quite as bad as John at least she has never took potshots at cars like her brother....

4. Wonder if Ford will become part of Lieberman's "Citizens for McCain"
I turn off MSNBC when Harold Ford comes one. He's out of touch with reality. Only Terry McAwful is farther out of touch than Ford.

9. It was clear that he had prepared his remarks before the speech was given.
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 03:25 PM by grantcart
His finding McCain as a "powerful" and the "best he has given" was a joke.

He made himself look like an idiot.

Everyone learned more from Ford about the speech than listening to McCain and having to watch the faux smiles and sing song delivery in his attempt to channel Reagan.

29. That is the only possible explanation - thanks. Likely had read the printed copy
which they say wasn't as bad but did not amend his remarks after the delivery. Nobody could have looked that stupid on purpose no matter what he was trying to shill.

34. Yes. That was apparently his reward for endorsing a Conservative 3rd Party.
Ever heard of a DEM being given a top position after endorsing and supporting a Conservative 3rd party (ie Lieberman's run against Lamont)?

Par for the course over at the DLC.

He said something to the effect that except for being a member of the wrong party he is a great candidate.

It was quite a revealing night on MSNBC

33. Williams is so deep in the tank for McCain you can't see him with binoculars
My "favorite" part of the evening, Obama's evening, was Brian Williams quoting at length from McCain's book and rambling on about heroes and the "real Americans" at some Friday night auto race and what they might think of the two candidates and that they were his 'focus group". It was truly awful.

35. Well carvile hinted at it.
Carville criticized Democratic National Committee chair Howard Dean for not doing everything possible to add a few more seats to Pelosi's new majority. Carville is probably right that, short of reserving the barest of post-election operating budgets, Dean should have begged, borrowed or stolen every possible cent he could and poured it into some of the closest races. But Carville's frustrations caused him to overreach, suggesting that Ford should replace Dean at the DNC.

He is...... DLC.....the DLC wants to replace the DNC...That has been their agenda since day one....The DLC are Democrats in name only.....When I was first approached about joining their party it didn't sound to bad...all moderates....Since I really was a Yellow Dog I saw no way to justify turning my back on the Liberal Dems..Don't believe me check their voting records....
