I honestly think that Clinton would have won the nomination if the DNC had continued as an organization in the control of the Clintons.

Thank God for Howard.

4. I am thankful that Obama...
kept Dean as DNC Chair, my only hope is that if Dean wishes to do so, that President Obama supports him to continue for the next 4 years. Some pundit last night on MSNBC labeled the 50 state strategy as Obama's plan but it has been Dean's from the moment that he took the Chair. Remember...Dean represents the "Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party". Thank goodness!!!!

6. Dean doesn't want to stay on at the DNC. Obama should tap him for Sec of HHS
Howard Dean has actually delivered on healthcare. He's a doc and he's successfully run large organizations with big budgets.

5. Ickes has been stacking the deck Parliamentarly for almost 25 years for a candidate
Of his choice, he had the odds in the favor of his chosen candidte( not just Hillary, but anyone he chose ) to %60 edge Hillary added about another 5 % to that house edge. And much like the casinos in vegas the house edge almost never loses, but sometime you beat the odds.

Obama beat those Odds.

Ickes will continue and the next step is to get the 6 regional primary bill passed that he couldnt get passed the last time his game failed in 88 and he had Mondale raise it for a second time.

Its just more deck stacking like the super delegates were, that seems to make sense on the surface, but if you know the "special" rules much like basic strategy in Black Jack you get a special edge.

7. I wonder if Obama would have run if Ickes was heading the DNC.
It would have made the superdelegate situation much much harder. I'm not sure just winning the pledged delegate would have been a workable strategy.
