I'm not seeing it in my local paper, and it isn't in a couple of the big papers I checked. I don't have TV--did the news shows cover it?

2. Thanks. I knew the AP had written a story, but it seems the newspapers haven't picked it up.
The Baltimore Sun has a story, and a few other papers. But mainly nada. But I don't know newspaper schedules--maybe they had their layouts done for the most part.

If the papers don't cover it, it would be a good topic for LTTE's.

3. We move in a pretty fast world here at DU......
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 07:56 AM by Boz
Alot of the NORMAL world is around 3-5 days behind, thats why you always saw adversary things break about 5-6 days ahead of Primaries, because then there wouldnt be time to fix it.

We just dont realize how fast we move because its relative, I have actually said several times during this primary, "oh thats so two weeks ago" when a friend would come running up with "breaking news" about the campaigns and each time it really was two weeks after we were talking about it, debunked it and it faded away.

4. Nothing about congress investigation saying bush lied us into war.
This bothers me more. This should be headlines in EVERY paper. It's not in NYTimes or Chicago Trib.

5. It's in the NYTimes.

Of course, you have to look for the word "overstated" rather than "lied." :banghead:

6. Because the DSCC and DCCC Democratic arms still take dirty money
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/politics/blog/2008/06/lobby_ban_not_for_all_dems.html

The Obama campaign confirms that two other arms of the national party - the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee - will continue to accept lobby and PAC money this election. That's the same position as presumptive Republican nominee John McCain and every affiliate of the Republican National Committee, who all accept lobby and PAC dollars.

The DCCC and DSCC help support Democratic House and Senate candidates in targeted seats. Unlike the DNC - which trails its Republican counterpart 2 to 1 - they're thumping the GOP's congressional candidates in fundraising. They've combined to raise nearly $170 million for this election cycle through May, versus about $120 million for Republicans.

8. That might be worthy of its own op.
I'm probably not the only person around here that didn't understand this.
