Popular vote
Edited on Thu Jun-05-08 11:59 PM by barack the house
For Hillary to have the most popular vote it excludes caucuses. So if you are for Hillary in a caucus state she is saying you don't count. Now recently her figures jumped up by her estimation 1 million which must mean she is counting some caucuses, but by that calculation you now have Obama popular vote winner. It's win by spin, it didn't work the last 7 years no reason to see it work now. Of course winning is off the table but holding ransom to the VP is unseemly too, Obama should not meet those demands. Only if he was approach in a civil manner.

Let alone staying in the race to pay for the privlege of her running. In many many ways they were taken advantage of but somehow we are in the wrong to say it.

2. And she has a real nerve trying to take a record for the history books
over popular vote that excludes states. If you can't count those caucus states, then there is no popular vote.

5. not that it matters - but the caucuses are estimates - and most estimates give her the lead
4 caucuses do not even report vote totals - and given how most votes can still end up with less delegates, there is no way to estimate any "spread" - so best guess is a total vote number guess split 50/50 if only a couple of delegates difference.

MSNBC shows Hillary - counting everything except Michigan - as down 17,000.

Add Michigan and she leads.

8. Here's some actual proof regarding who won the popular vote.
The following numbers are from thegreenpapers.com

Obama's WORST percentage came in West Virginia - a state in which he barely campaigned and Clinton campaigned heavily. If we give him that same percentage in Michigan for a worst-case-scenario, he still beats Hillary by 13,089 using ACTUAL VERIFIABLE NUMBERS. This even ignores the obvious fact that many of the caucuses did not record the popular vote, that the non-binding Washington State primary would have added more than 38,000 to Obama's total, etc, etc.

9. The best analysis I saw put him about 9,000 ahead in popular vote.
But as you aptly stated, it's really an inaccurate analysis which is why the Baby Jesus smote the popular vote and anointed the delegate count. Which Obama won fair and square. Amen.
