4. This is great strategy ! He should and get one up on Bush
We know its true, and Kerry if runnin a clean campaign has to let others take the swipe...then he can say, well that is not part of my campaign and then Bush won't admit the Swiftboat boys are his and again he loses crediblity ! Ha ! Thanks Move on and Thanks Kerry Campaign ! You gained the middle !

7. Yep!!!
This is what I call reverse psychology. Kerry is doing the right thing.
He presents himself as superior candidate but at the same time gives the Bush administration a low blow. I'm impressed.

10. This is more fodder for those that say Bush and Kerry are the same
because Bush condemned the ads too. This may help Ralph Nader.

12. What are you talking about?
Bush refused to condemn the swiftboat ad.

Kerry is condemning ads attacking Bush personally.

It is how they are DIFFERENT.

16. Which ad was that?
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 05:41 PM by K-W
I only know of Kerry condemning an ad questioing Bush's vietnam service.

Of course Bush is against ads that attack him. How exactly could that be construed as both candidates being the same?

20. And Im saying he's missing the point rather dramatically, Get it?
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 05:45 PM by K-W
The point is that Kerry has come out to condemn ads attacking the service of Bush, whereas Bush refuses to condemn ads attacking the service of Kerry.

Thus Kerry is showing class, and Bush is a weasel.

Edit: And actually, Bush hasnt condemned attack ads, he has only condemend 527 groups. There is a HUGE difference. So he had no point whatsoever.

19. 527's
Bush wanted all funding for 527's discontinued. He has not condemned the ads and as far as I know has not even discredited them. Every time the administration is asked to condemn these ads their response is the same. Get rid of 527's. That means Moveon.org because they appear to be working against the admin and appealing to some.

25. I don't regard Kerry's statement as a big deal.
"I agree with Senator McCain that the ad is inappropriate," Kerry said in a statement released by his campaign. "This should be a campaign of issues, not insults."

Politicians say things like that all the time.
