Another VP post: So I was deadset against a "both" ticket, but now......
I was watching Fox News (I'm a flipper & watch ALL the cable news; I can only take Fox for so long, of course), and as guest after guest expressed their opinions about an Obama-Clinton ticket, it became obvious that the Republicans were not likin' that at all. I even got the vaguest of impressions (just a hint, mind you) that they might be sort of afraid of that ticket.

Soooooo, I got to thinkin'....well, if they are so afraid of it, what exactly are they afraid of?

Then I got to thinkin'....well, if you take Obama's almost-18,000,000 votes, and you take Clinton's almost-18,000,000 votes, that's almost 36 million votes right there, without even trying that hard.

And the cherry on top is that we get a two-fer: two political minorities in the White House simultaneously.

Is my thinking out of whack? What about it?

6. Its not out of wack - if you want a unified party - half the party loves Hillary - not Obama

7. not true, lots of buyers remorse
in early voting - cal for one seems to be Obama now.
he does Not need 2 VP's to have to watch over - Hill and Bill - both with super large egos . ugh!

2. It would be one of the weaker ticket options. She has very large negatives and does nothing
to either bring in a key state or address Obama's 'weakness', which will be patriotism/national security.

He needs a national security VP, period.

3. I'd be very surprised if that is the ticket
not because of Hillary, but because of her husband.

Obama doesn't want a political encampment across the street from the WH in Blair House.

4. It's Clinton's electability
As I have said repeatedly, she will mobilize the RW base and get out rethug voters who would rather stay at home and not vote for McCain. This conclusion I have come to living and visiting with other party members.

No one Dem can do this like Hillary. We must not risk it. MUST NOT.

5. HRC is what Repubs *say* they fear. In reality they WANTED her as our nom
because she would draw huge crowds just to vote against her.

And there are a good number of progressives who will not vote for a ticket with her on it.

as Jimmy Carter said - the unity ticket is a BAD idea.
