I do think she wants to be begged to be on the ticket. I think that's what's going on now with the reference to the 18 million votes.

Some may think any discussion of Hillary is beating a dead horse at this point, but check out her Web site:

It doesn't look like she's ready to close up shop to me.

2. The key words there are "the last I heard"
This is worse than reading tea leaves trying to figure out what is going on based on "anonymous campaign sources" and people willing to go on record. Then compare what is being said to what you see on the Web site and the plans for Saturday. I really think there is a last ditch effort going on to convince the right people of the depth of support for Hillary. Meanwhile, IMO, Obama just gave tryouts to Gov. Kane, Senator Webb and Mr. Warner at his rallies in Virginia today.

3. I think that once again
Edited on Thu Jun-05-08 07:11 PM by Mme. Defarge
we're being played. No she does not want the VP slot. Yes, she's open to the VP slot. Supporters are demanding she be offered the VP slot.

This fits the pattern of how she never gives a straight answer to anything. She is deliberately sowing the seeds of confusion to obfuscate a hidden agenda. I DON'T TRUST HER!!!

4. Her main problem is that she was ready for day one as president, BUT
she was not ready for the campaign..

She was outflanked, and she's stunned and disbelieving.. She has not come to terms with what has happened, and of course, she still thinks this is all about HER..

She should had seen it coming, but she refused to see it..

She has to be shaken to her very core..and not all that eager to go back to her old "job"..

She cannot be vice president..she knows it, we know it and Obama knows it..

As soon as she realizes that she's had all the adulation she deserves and is going to get, she can heal her wounded feelings.. No one can do that but Hillary..

8. I appreciate your voice or reason
but I am very wary. The stunt she pulled Tuesday was either evidence of how dangerously deluded she is, or a very calculated move to further her aim to somehow capture the nomination.

9. "to further her aim to somehow capture the nomination" - I think you're on to something there.
Going back to 1992 or perhaps even 1988, it's all been about putting a Clinton in the White House. The day after Bill was elected to his first term was the first day of his campaign for a second term. They've played the game so long that the game has become an end in itself. I don't think she can see a future for herself in which she is not running for the White House, so she can't stop running.

5. what difference does it make what she wants? it's not up to her!
and how does one "run" for VP?

she needs to just go away. She will NOT be VP, and she's just looking more and more insane.

7. I don't think she wants or expects the job, but...
If offered, she will accept.
She may be offered privately, and decline -- we won't know THAT until long after the election.
