Jimmy Carter NAILS IT AGAIN -- Without Father Pfleger amusing rhetorical florishes

A Hillary Clinton choice for VP would be "THE WORST MISTAKE THAT COULD BE MADE!"

Please tell us how you reeealy feel Jimmy.

1. I love Jimmy Carter - he's a straight-talking wise leader...
...who has always been a few leaps ahead of the rest of the country.

2. yeah he really kicked the shit out of raygun
didn't mondale also say it would be a huge mistake to make hillary the vp. he blew raygun out of the water in minnesota. of course he lost everything else. i'd feel more confident if someone who had actually beaten the gop would weigh in.

3. Do your homework...
If we had listened to Carter, we would be completely free of Middle Eastern oil as well as terrorists.

5. A man ahead of his time
Unfortunately, the country wasn't ready for his message. I think history will treat Carter rather better than the pundits have in the past 20 years.

4. Jimmy Carter WON the Presidency and tried to put America on the path to Energy Indepence that we now
realize would have been incredibly valuable today.

15. Reagan's treasonous ratfucking had a big impact
If you're not aware that Reagan's election team (read Bush Sr.) met with the Iranians and promised them arms for the release of the hostages - which meant that Reagan committed a crime by acting as an agent of the U.S. govt (of Jimmy Carter.) Reagan should have been put in jail for this.

It was called "The October Surprise." Gary Sick and Barbara Honeger (she was a Reagan staff member) both wrote books about the very subject.

So Reagan made Carter look bad by delaying the release of the hostages and INTERFERING with Carter's negotiation attempts.

Reagan, who never met a right wing dictatorship he didn't love.

May he rot in hell.

9. So you're unable to see both sides and think *maybe* Carter has a point?
You have to choose one or the other?

I admired all three Democratic candidates at the beginning. Even though I leaned toward Edwards, I understood their criticisms of him in terms of context.

Carter has earned the right to an opinion.

10. I'm looking at both sides
and I'm seeing an unjustified, unwarranted attack on Clinton.

Does Carter have something on which to base his accusation or is it just a lot of hot air?

12. His own opinions just as your judgment about justifying attacks on Clinton are yours
I don't agree they're unjustified or unwarranted.

Was a time, I admired Hillary more than I did Carter. That has changed markedly over the last six months.

13. If Clinton had won the nomination
I would have been against Obama fro VP for the same reasons Carter thinks Hillary is a bad choice for VP.

They simply are not team material in that environment. They have different visions.

16. Tell me, please
What is a justified, warranted attack on Clinton? Does such a thing exist? Is there anything that we may criticize about her without incurring the wrath of the Hillbots?

11. He's the first president that I was truly aware of
Elected when I was in first grade. I ran across a book about "going Green" that was published around that time in a thrift store recently.
"School House Rock" songs were telling us to turn out our lights.
Jimmy Carter was paying attention to all of it.
Too bad he didn't get the respect he deserved. The conversation re: Global Warming might be slightly less dramatic right now.

17. I've been neutral about the issue.
But that's quite a statement from a guy I respect. A link would be nice, if you have one, BTW.
