Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 08:43 AM by Vote2008
They don't have the whole video because it was so bad. He looked like an idiot reading a scripts in a monotone voice.

You can read the transcript or you can watch some clips. I guess they picked the clips where he didn't look illiterate.

He is god awful!

Think Obama will ever be embarassed to show his speeches on the web???

7. I'm hoping Moveon has the full footage
because there was tons of ad material in that speech.

4. You know what's truly horrible about the whole thing?
That the only voice saying how great and powerful a speech it was was Harold Ford. He always seemed like he was gearing up to knock it down but just never quite did.

9. Was McCain's speech made at "Shady Pines"?
The atmosphere made it seem like it was done in a retirement home.

10. I got home late and tried to watch a repeat on CSPAN2
after I saw Obama. Could only watch about a minute of his weasly voice and forced smile. What kind of audience did he have? dozens of old white folk?

11. Problem is, last night was not about McCain and few were paying him any mind
Hillary stole much of the spotlight with her psuedo-victory speech instead of a concession to Obama.

Hillary didn't even acknoweldge that he claimed enough delegates to clinch the nom last night!

CNN analysts looked flabbergasted after Hillary's speech and it was really a sight to see; they talked about her incessantly.

21. It's his convention speech I'm looking forward to.
Delegates falling asleep, blowing their brains out, weeping, talking heads trying to make sense of the babbling.... hee.

16. I couldn't bear to watch the original, but I just couldn't resist after reading the reviews here!
I saw the rerun, and by god, it surpassed all expectations? That was one of the worst things I have ever seen. And I know we have been dealing with Chimpy for the last eight years, but that doesn't diminish how astonishly bad is was. I mean, it wasn't JUST the delivery, the "substance"? Hot water bottles to dehydrated babies or something, did I hear that right? And that creepy smile! The green background! The transparent plea to Hillary supporters!

18. It was hideous. Mr. Rogers runs for president.
Can you say "Iraq"? Sure. I won't be surrendering in Iraq. No, sir.

Your mommy won't like it when I say this, but Mr. Obama is a coward and a fool. Do you know what a coward is? It's somebody who wants to talk to mean people rather than kill them.

Now it's time to go to the magic kingdom.

28. and don't forget those ridiculous smiles and chuckles
he almost sounded like * giving a speech....waiting for the applause and laugh tracks. It was a painful speech. I couldn't bear to watch the whole thing. I tried muting the sound, but just seeing him with that stupid smile was still more than I could take.
