Tell me why it would be in Clinton's best interests to take the VP slot.
With all the chatter about this, I just can't find a good reason for why being VP would be good for her. Why wouldn't the Senate be a better place to launch a challenge in 2012? Why would she want to take a second seat?

1. Because *wink* *wink* something could happen to Obama.
She wants to have her LBJ moment on Air Force One. The moment she becomes his VP, that bullseye on his back becomes even bigger.

2. Only reason I can think of is for history.
If she can't be the first President then the first VP is better than nothing. Outside of that I don't see it either, no real advantage for either of them or reason they'd want to work together. I don't think they could, it would be an almost assured conflict.

3. I think the VP is often considered the presumptive nominee
if the President serves both terms. Gore, Bush 41 come to mind.

4. She has already admitted to thinking that something bad can happen
to Obama, so she wants to be in a position to capitalize on that.

8. Hillary is part of operation chaos
She knows she lost months ago. hence the happy non concession speech.

And she already knows she is not going to be the VP.
