For the first time since the idiot stole the Whitehouse
I can say I am proud to be an American tonight. I was born after both Kennedy's, this must be how their supporter felt. As a fellow Illinoisan I am so proud of our party. Obama '08.

It's about time we can feel that pride again! I'm so glad these last 8 years are going to be over soon!

5. Yep. This is my America.
This is absolutely how I felt about the Kennedy's, even though I was just in grade school at the time. I haven't felt this hopeful since, not even when John Kerry was running and everybody knows how much I love that man. But Obama is going to change everything.

..I have had 7 years to laugh/be saddened at/by your president.

Somehow I think I will spend the next 8 being envious.

9. From your lips to god's ear
It has been a dark time for America. I quit my job to get a masters in elementary education, so I can hopefully teach children about what America was like before these children were born and the bastards stole the power from the people.

15. I think you're right
He is a principled outsider. I have seen what he has done for us here in Illinois, I have no doubt in his abilities.

11. I'm exhilarated and exhausted at the same time...
It's been 7 1/2 years since the theft of the whitehouse and 18 months following this primary. It's been some rough times to be a democrat with some real disappointments and heartaches. I'm feeling proud and vindicated right now.

I think we may turn the page yet. What a great night to be a democrat!

13. Amen
Finally after so much caving by the Dems it is about time that we take back the party. He owes Clinton nothing. The way she has run her campaign is a disgrace, and I have been defending Bill for 16 years. Let's speculate on VP's for a minute. Wes Clark anyone?

16. I fear you may be right
As Uncle Joe said "It is not who they vote for, but who counts the votes." I think you all know what I mean.
