This is not over! Stop listening to the media
I find it highly unprofessional for our MSM to be sending out knowingly Campaign disinformation in effort to manipulate two Primaries.

So, let me say this..........Listen everyone--this is not over. Superdelgate votes DO NOT COUNT until they are cast at the convention. That means that the number of 2118 (which is only for the pledged delegates from primaries and caucuses) has not been met by Barack Obama and cannot be met by him, even with the pledged delegates from Montana & South Dakota that he may win tonight. 2118 is the current number to get the nomination, and per DNC rules, superdelegate votes do not count towards that number.

Please stop listening to what the media has been spinning today, it is nothing more than an attempt at voter suppression on Montana and South Dakota. They don't want people out voting today.

Hillary will be speaking tonight in NY and has a positive message for all Democrats. It is my gut feeling, this woman is not getting out of the race!

The Clinton campaign put out a statement today saying the AP story stating she would concede tonight is incorrect and that she will not concede. The VP story is nothing but rumours from two NY lawmakers looking for a little press.

It is my sense on the matter that this will go to the Convention. I am very shocked at the media fantasy being spead over the airways...........it's not Journalism or Reporting, it's promoting propaganda. I want the truth to the best of their knowledge and I can handle the truth.

136. Good story bicentennial ...you will be rewarded many times over
for your hard work and tenacity. There is no substitute.

But I have to agree with the OP -- the corporate media has been as complicit in passing off disinformation during this election cycle as it was during the lead up to the Iraq war. There is not one amongst them who can stand tall. A few print journalists Seymour Hersh and Helen Thomas are the only pair that I can think of that have never strayed from the path of truth.

I just turned 69 and you can be sure there are opportunities for those of us in reTURNment (that means returning to doing something) -- to do a lot of wonderful new things.

For example, here is my new volunteer position, helping mentally and physically disabled people through therapeutic hippotherapy. No, we don't use hippos (!). "Hippo" is the Greek work for "horse":

http://www.forwardstride.org

Many of us are living way beyond age 65. By the way, the Social Security age is increasing every year, which reflects the fact that people are living longer and having useful years way beyond what you might imagine.

How old is Senator Byrd?

Cordially,

Radio Lady in Oregon

Barack Obama is the PRESUMPTIVE Nominee for the Presidency from the Democratic Party

John McCain is the PRESUMPTIVE nominee of the RNC

And the only way I can read the threat to take it to the convention is to have a floor fight

Given the HISTORY of floor fights, you guys are handing the keys of the WH to one John McCain

It is not the MSM's fault that the supers chose to open the floodgates and swim to Obama today. It's just the way it went down. But it is over. Obama will hit the magic number tonight, and Hillary simply cannot.

Yeah, it's going to take me some time to heal from this. But I know Obama will get the nomination tonight. Jump on the bandwagon? Well, my legs are very tired right now. But they will heal. 63. I read the Clinton campaign statement, too, and I think she might take it to the convention. -
- The SuperDelegate votes could swing three ways to Sunday between now and the convention and I would not be surprised if Hillary uses the time between now and then to try to change some SuperMinds. Her campaign is saying one thing and the media is saying another - no shock there. Guess we'll all find out soon enough but I'm not counting her out until I hear it out of her mouth.

69. Vera it is my privledge to introduce you to Shoichi Yokoi
Please turn off your TV, pretend it doesn't exist anymore

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=&imgrefurl=http://www.geocities.com/hankmcintyre/japan_survival.html&h=246&w=201&sz=21&hl=en&start=22&um=1&tbnid=Nha2BBOI4CpysM:&tbnh=110&tbnw=90&prev=/images%3Fq%3DJapanese%2Bfighter%2B%2Bstraggler%2Blong%2Btime%26start%3D18%26ndsp%3D18%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN
Sgt. Shoichi Yokoi, a Japanese imperial army straggler who lived in the jungles of Guam for 28 years after World War II ended, died at 5:07 pm Monday Sept 22, 1997 of heart failure at JR Tokai General Hospital in Nagoya Japan. He was 82. Yokoi lived in a tunnel-like, underground cave in a bamboo grove until Jan 24, 1972, when he was discovered near the Talofofo River by hunters. Yokoi, who had been a tailor's apprentice before being drafted in 1941, made clothing from the fibers of wild hibiscus plants and survived on a diet of coconuts, breadfruit, papayas, snails, eels and rats. "We Japanese soldiers were told to prefer death to the disgrace of getting captured alive," Yokoi said in 1972. "The only thing that gave me the strength and will to survive was my faith in myself and that as a soldier of Japan, it was not a disgrace to continue on living," Yokoi said in 1986. No one in the history of humanity, except stragglers later discovered in Philippines, has equaled his record. Few have struggled with loneliness, fear, and self for as long as twenty-eight years.

Yokoi traveled around Japan giving lectures on survival topics and even starred in television special, "Yokoi and the Seven Beauties," in which he taught Japanese women about the art of survival. He ran unsuccessfully for the House of Councillors - Parliament's upper house - in 1974.

maybe after a few years you can run for public office too!

109. This is how it works.
Two teams suit up for the ballgame.

They play 9 innings.

At the end of the 9 innings, the scoreboard posts which of the two teams has the most runs.

The one with the highest number of runs wins.

Then everyone goes in to take a shower, dresses in their street duds, and heads on home.

113. I've been scratching my head over the same problem for days now... ever since
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 08:31 PM by Seabiscuit
the RBC meeting this weekend, the MSM has been pulling this shit.

They're improperly and unforgiveably adding over 300 Super Delegates to Obama's pledged delegates and are now lying at the tops of their voices claiming Obama just "clinched" the nomination.

I was thinking of starting a thread about this travesty myself, but was glad you saved me the trouble.

The MSM has been trumpeting this outrageous lie for days now as a form of voter deceit and disenfranchisement - attempting to dupe Clinton voters in Montana and South Dakota into staying home so that Obama can win those two states.

And the DNC and party bosses are complicit in this duplicity with the Republican controlled MSM.

I've never been as disgusted with our party as I am today.

I hope Hillary has the sense to ignore this insanity, take the race to the convention, and win it all.

the 'liberal media' (who spent YEARS crucifying clinton and then spent YEARS ignoring the many crimes of the bush administration) set this sideshow up months ago, presenting the public with an exclusive 'obmama vs. hillary' show to the exclusion of better qualified candidates and have successfully divided the democratic party into two warring camps. at this point mccain is guaranteed a win in november.

138. do you object when the media declares someone president on election day
even though the electoral college won't actually cast their ballots for weeks? After all, the members of the electoral college are not bound to vote for the candidate that won the popular vote in their state. (In around half of the states there are potential consequences for being a "faithless elector" but the vote as cast still stands; only two states have laws rendering a nonconforming electoral college vote invalid).
