her for one night?

Geez...I would be upset if Obama hadn't won, I can imagine they aren't feeling so great either!

101. So it's okay for Hillbots to continually trash Obama...
It's okay for Hillbots to trash Obama, continue to bring up the tired old Rev. Wright, continually say that he's "unelectable", etc etc.

It's okay for you people to push Obama supporters around, but the minute they start fighting back, you suddenly want us to "be nice".

Fuck that. The minute Hillary concedes, then we can talk peace.

64. ask HIll that question, it was her staff, under her orders
that created most of this mess. Unless, until, and if (not when, she has too little honor and class) she apologizes, then I say to hell with her, her top staffers, and her husband. Bill has managed to change a pretty good rep into something completely different. No outsider, no enemy, no political rival did that. He did. and She did.

We are responsible for our own actions, and reactions. We cannot blame Hillary if we can't control ourselves. Being an asshole is the sole responsibility of the asshole... we can't blame Hillary for that.

She tried to steal the election. Whether or not she succeeded is beside the point.

I don't know what is gained by white-washing her attempt to steal the election, but there seems to be an effort to re-write what she tried to do.

105. Yes, there is such an effort... and you need to knock that crap off
The only way she could have stolen anything is if she'd put a gun to a delegate's head and forced them to vote for her. They have free will. Those that BushCo managed to get off the lists of voters did NOT have free will.

Your analogy is flawed... no, completely bogus.

40. It seems that it is not enough for some her to win
they need their opponents to cower and to grovel, they need to rub their faces in manure.

And then they wonder why so many will not vote for the winner.

If not from the heart, at least from the mind. Obama supporters need us, Hillary supporters to win and this reason alone should induce them to be nice, or, at least, to leave us alone.

Thanks to Level 2, I see way too many lunatic dead-ender threads (and posts).

Even so, I'm more in the mode of viciously assaulting those lunatics wherever they appear, as opposed to attacking the loser of the primary.

I'm in full-blown celebration mode right now, so I could just move on and ignore.... however, I know these lunatic dead-enders are not long for this board so I'm finally, really, letting loose on them while I can.

63. My criticizing stops when she stops warranting criticism...
She is attempting to steal the primary. I didn't lay down when Bush Jr tried to do it, and I won't do it for Hillary, either.

The one thing that lights my fuse is the mention of Hillary as Obama's VP. IMO, the day she considered assassination as a campaign strategy, the vetting was over. I've seen enough politicians assassinated in my lifetime, and I don't care to see anymore.

So, I'm sorry that I won't be able to give Hillary a free pass for any of the bullshit she pulls tonight. I'm an old-school, Kumbaya, Big-Tent type of Democrat, but not when someone is trying to steal an election.

75. The point is...
You aren't dumping on Hillary... she doesn't read DU. You clearly have no respect or empathy for your fellow Democrats. Sad.

There's no need for hate or any obnoxious remarks. Doesn't do any good.

We finally have our nominee, and there's plenty of reason to celebrate. No need for insults and putdowns.

I can imagine what the Clinton supporters are feeling, it's how I felt when Dean lost in 2004, but this time Clinton got so much closer. She put up a really good fight, she should be proud for hanging in there regardless of some of the negative tactics she used. Her supporters should be proud as well.

This is a night to celebrate; to become united, and to kick some Repuke ass!

76. Bi-Baby and I were just having this convo
I was a Deaniac and was crushed after Iowa. I still held out hope for NH, but kinda expected that loss.

In 2004, I quickly got on board (Bush had to go) and actually, finally got to know my Senator, and got to not only respect him, but actually love him. (I didn't know anything about him even though he's been my Senator for most of my life)

Even in 2000, when Bradley didn't win, I gladly voted for Gore.

This year, my main candidates were gone very early, but I know that's the way it goes. I moved on, and started sizing up the remaining candidates. I now respect, and actually love Obama.

She put up a great fight, and kudos. Yes, I'm still upset about several things that happened, but I recognize the furious campaign she waged.

It is time to unite. I'm not the person to help in that right now, but I hope the people better than I will start working toward that.

In the meantime, I'll try to get back to the role I adopted for some time (despite what some think) in reigning in the Obama supporters. I gave that up about 1.5 weeks ago, and have been all teeth, but I'm going to try to get back to that. If possible, I'll try to go beyond that if it's wise.

79. We can't expect
the Clinton supporters to jump on board right away, like tomorrow or next week or even next month. I know there are some hardcore, passionate supporters, both on DU and IRL...any kind of loss, but especially a political one, takes some time to get over. As long as they get on board by Nov. 4, then I am cool with them.

I hope people can unite, not just here on DU but within the party as well. I think they will. I even think the Clintons will get on board eventually.

Obama wasn't my first, or second or third choice (neither was Clinton) but I believe he is one heck of a candidate, and I believe that he could be a very good president. I am ready to kick some repuke ass. Now that we (finally) have a nominee, I am 100 percent in that nominees corner.

I just want to freaking win in Nov.

:hi:

80. I understand
This had just been such a looooooooong primary, and some of the things posted have gone on way too long, and it's hard. It's never lasted this long in my formative years, and I'm sure for many others.

We can do this. :hi:

And you are responsible for your actions... and reactions. Don't blame Hillary if you can't keep yourself from being an asshole.

At this point it just comes off as a gimmick to get our support. Sorry, that’s how I feel.
