Such bull shit- Hillary making tonight about her.
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 02:40 PM by adoraz
First they announce she will concede, then they take it back. They make the morning politics be about whether or not she will leave.

Then she says she is open to being VP.

Guess what the media will talk about tonight?

God I hate her. Just let him have his night.

If Obama chooses her and he loses, he completely deserves it.

9. No, her talking about being open to VP today...
was no coincidence. She purposely said that today for it to be on the news tonight.

15. No. She was ASKED in a phone conference if she would consider it...
and she said yes.

She didn't bring this topic up herself.

5. It is ALL about Hillary Clinton tonight. She holds ALL THE POWER.
Hillary Clinton holds the fate of the world in her hands right now.

IF she goes one way, the world is saved because there is a Democratic victory.

If she takes that other path, John McCain will win and the world will be plunged into endless war that will have nuclear exchanges.

The choice is all up to Hillary Clinton.

So yes, it's all about her and we need to recognize that.

7. She's playing games, all right.
It's always been all about her. Always.

I am reminded of when he won so many in a row, and she pretended it simply didn't happen, not mentioning his wins. Until finally pressed.

Not gracious.

13. Hillayr is Axel Rose of Guns N' Roses!!
Reminds me of a story I heard on VH1 a long time ago...

(Warning: I am not a GNR or Metallica fan!)

Back in 1992, lead guitarist James Hetfield of Metallica suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns over his arms, upper body, and face. This was during a concert in Montreal. He was rushed off stage to the hospital. It was a miracle he didn't die, apparently.

Axel Rose (the most petulant showman in all of rock) was scheduled to sing after this accident.

According to Hetfield, Rose was sooooo upset about not being the center of attention anymore (cuz Hetfield had nearly died) that he threw a huge fit, went completely berzerk, and walked off stage, refusing to sing. Later it was claimed that his voice was troubling him.

Hetfield didn't buy it, and basically said (not an exact quote): "I mean, I get lit on fire, burned-off all the skin on my arm and some of my face, get rushed to the hospital right from the stage... and Rose is so upset about me stealing the spot-light that he throws a tantrum and refuses to sing. Anything to get the attention back on him!"

29. While true in essence
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 03:34 PM by Zodiak Ironfist
Hetfield and many others in the music biz know that Axl would have a hissy fit and walk off of the stage half of the time without any precipitating event. Axl is an unprofessional asshole. When the Hetfield incident went down, it was pretty much a given that Axl would go off on a tear.

But I get your point. I just don't want anyone thinking that Axl acting like a prima donna after James got burned was an isolated incident.

14. The whole campaign has been about her in her eyes.
But I don't think that's good press, the will she concede or not, it makes her look worse than she already does.

21. It's over....
Everyone needs to let it go.

We just made history by having an African American man running against a woman for the nomination. I think she is looking for a way to bow out and save face but people aren't letting her. The media has turned this whole thing into the circus it has become.

She is going to bow out and throw her support to Obama. Let them both have their night. I think having them both on the ticket would nail the lid on McCain's campaign.

It's all about how we need to reach out to them.

They're trying to keep Obama supporters from celebrating the win.

23. And you really, really cannot stand it
Only when you, Obama supporters, get rid of this hatred and will be willing to offer a hand in peace and reconciliation, being magnanimous the way Obama has been, will we have a chance of unity and winning.

But with so much petulance around here - I have my doubts. I don't think that you, Obama supporters, even want to win. You just want to continue to pour your hatred.

I am trying to be consoled that most people now on these pages are college kids and not the mature adults who know (or should know) better.

24. Oh, I don't know. I'm kind of enjoying her total self-immolation.
For her to preemptively announce that she wants the VP slot is just idiotic, IMO. She's counting on Obama to be unwilling to humiliate her by offering it to someone else. I've been watching Obama pretty closely since January, and I'm telling you—he'll have no problem whatsoever offering the VP to whoever he thinks will do the best job in that supporting role. And I'm pretty sure that ain't Hillary.

both Clinton's are narcissistic and have to have the spot light. They will be a total distraction to the Obama administration.
