The only good reason for Hillary to be on the ticket is
if you are OK with her being President. If your reason is purely pragmatic for the sake of getting the support of her constituency, I believe there are too many negatives that would offset this benefit. Remember, she is an extremely divisive national figure and Obama could lose a lot of votes from Independents and Republicans who are genuinely inspired by his message of unity and change.

3. More speculation. Come back with hard numbers and we'll talk.
Clinton has hard numbers, big ones, of people that have voted for her.

"I believe there are too many negatives "

That's not proof of anything.

4. Allow me to be more blunt ...
If you feel that gaining the support of voters whose candidate has raised the spector of assassination of her opponent as a reason to stay in the race for the nomination offsets the negatives of having a VP candidate who has raised the spector of assassination, then, by all means, support her candidacy for VP.

5. I'm going to support whoever Obama picks.
However, I think many of us need to prepare for the eventuality of a Hillary VP.

Your points are not lost on me. I just think that political reality may overrule them.

6. I'm not OK with her being president. And, I certainly wouldn't vote to put her in that position.
The best reason, for me, to vote for Obama is because he isn't a Clinton.

7. I agree. You can kiss a good number of Independent and GOP crossovers goodbye with her on the ticket
