Hello, G.D.: Campaign 2004!!!!

I got a "form letter" in the mail yesterday. I usually don't read form letters closely. But when I saw Nancy Pelosi's name on this letter from the Democratic National headquarters, I knew it would be worth reading. And was it ever!

Certainly most of us have contributed to a number of the groups that are involved in the struggle to re-claim America. I tend to donate a given amount to a small number of organizations, that include DU, the Kerry campaign, MoveOn, WesPAC, and a couple others.

This letter was so up-beat, so positive, and so refreshingly energized, that I'm getting out the check book again .... because I know that DU is collecting, and I am definitely going to send a check the DNH in response to Nancy Pelosi's wonderful letter!

Probably everyone got one, but please allow me to quote a few of the lines that I love:

"How will George W. Bush be remembered in the history books? .... Here's how I think ...: as a one-term mistake. .... (I)f we give this man another term as President, I don't think we'll recognize America when he's done with it. Personally, I think (he) may well be remembered as one of the worst presidents in American history. .... The sad truth is that we can't trust the President. He hasn't been straight with us from the very beginning."

It was four hard-hitting pages. It expressed a confidence that we can save the country. Though I'm from New York, I am proud to say that Nancy Pelosi represents me. I'm sending a check in the mail tomorrow.
