Blast from the Past: What ever happened to the Sandy Berger Affair?
Are the RW talk shows even a bit wistful that this story has disappeared? Or are they too occupied in wholeheartedly embracing the Swift Boat Smearoes?

2. He was found innocent
of everything. They don't wnat to report that. The lasting impression has to be that Sandy Berger put documents in his pants so just don't report.

5. I know that he wasn't going to be charged with anything. Wall St. Journal
was the most prominent news organ that reported this. I'm just saying don't these news organs, not only the RW shows but also the "regular news" have any shame or embarrassment about pimping this story so hard at Dem convention time, and it's discredited/slips under the waves IMMEDIATELY afterwards?

6. That question about shame, that was rhetorical...
right?

It's the accusation that is important enough for the front page. The exoneration doesn't even need to be reported.

That's how the media works for the Dems now.

Sandy Berger was the head on National Security for Clinton wasn't he?

And Sandy was on Kerry's team..Maybe Sandy would have known how to Karate these smears on Kerry..and he had to be taken down.

I remember in 2000 when the video that was mailed to the Democratic party made Tom Downey(I think)have to recuse himself from Gore's debate team.

Subsequently, Paul Begala coached Gore and recommended..long sighs and rolling of eyes(I kid you not)..and we know how that came off.

So in my mind ..I've always associated the dirty tricks of the mailing of the video to help with Gore's close election win that brought his downfall...that and a million other things.
