Edwards needs to dump Cheney right on his butt, really show in a decisive way that he, Edwards, has the grit, the backbone and the smarts that voters want in someone "a heartbeat away." All while turning on the charm that wins the jury over.

There's no question at all that Edwards has got the skills. And he's got the instincts to do it right -- let's hope he tells the political handlers to STFU and just goes out and wins this thing like we know he can.

then demolish everything he said as carefully and ruthlessly as he did in the courtrooms.

Edwards is used to chewing up the Cheneys of this world.

that's what cheney's plan is. Beat him to it. I'd like to see Edwards stress cheney's spookiness.

focus on everything bad that cheney has ever done... starting with his involvement in watergate on through his secret energy commision. don't forget his support of apartheid. he sould mention what Darth Vader's hair looks like when you take of his mask! Also, push Halliburton as much as possible. Do what to myself, Mr. VP? When Cheney brings up the fact that Edwards makes his lucrative living off of the suffering of others, mention war profiteering. bring up his flip-flop on the 92 appropriations bill that he begged the Senate to kill.

That's what Lieberman did last time. When Lieberman claimed the Clinton economy helped everyone do better, Cheney sneered it didn't help him. Lieberman just laughed and let it go. Instead, Lieberman should have gone right after Halliburton and the fact that it lives off of government money. But not our Joe! He laughed.

Edwards has to rip every Cheney comment, no matter what the question. He needs to do so factually, but with great emphasis on Cheney's ties to Halliburton, PNAC, and the current misadministration. Edwards also needs to avoid getting into foreign policy details.

Edwards can do it, but he has to watch that smile of his.

But I will be looking at Edwards a lot more than Cheyney and savoring every word that comes out of his mouth. He is soooo good looking, I doubt anyone will even notice Cheyney is there.
