3. Good question, and one I don't understand either. It's not like Puerto Ricans
who are actual residents of the 50 United States can't vote or participate.

Probably because PR is heavily Dem. That's also why DC is not a state, and why they don't have two Senators, and until recently, no Representatives.

The DNC, however, wants PR involved in the process.

5. Puerto Rico has some of the worst poverty in the country
And that is partly because politicians don't give a shit about them because they have no members of congress and no vote in the presidential election.

I think that it very much reflects the values of the Democratic Party to give Puerto Rico a chance to have politicians hear their issues.

7. And why would their votes be counted towards the popular vote
in the primary if they don't count in the GE because they can't vote? Answer: they shouldn't.
