Libertarian analyzes polls - Kerry way ahead of Bush by 9%

"I believe most of those polls are inaccurate. I believe they are over-rating Bush's real numbers by as much as 3%. And under-estimating Kerry's numbers in many." 08/14/04 @ 06:35AM

2. I think he's correct
Who would watch a Super Bowl when the score is 60-40 with 10 minutes to go? I think the polls are skewed in Bush's favor to keep up interest in the election and getting more people to vote.

6. I think you are right on!
That analysis would pass the Occam's Razor test. That leaves us with another question: which action is more irresponsible, skewing numbers for political gain, or skewing numbers for profit?

7. Liberty forum is completely free speech
unless you threaten someone with bodily harm or you threaten to sue someone. You can talk freely without the threat of banishment.

4. Was it George Will?
I heard someone say yesterday - cleaning the kitchen with the TV on - that any time a presidential incumbent has been within a few percentage points of the challenger, the challenger has won.

5. Not even paying attention
The poll numbers mean squat right now. Mid October I will start paying attention. Right now, I will leave the poll watching to the campaign. They are probably looking at specific demographics or issues, not overall support.

8. Thank you
for the link and the information.

Very interesting analysis, indeed. Looks like Big Media is deliberately pushing Ralph Nader as a factor in the race, even though he won't be on election day?

9. He Does Make One Great Point
Nader's support is vastly overrated, seeing as how he's not going to be on most ballots.
