Great idea I think, no need nor reason to turn this into a circus.

16. I love the fact that they want people to do the voter registration drive instead - Vote for Change.
It is just fits Obama and his campaign perfectly. Damn they are good. :)

2. Hope all pay attention and heed the request. Working to register
VA voters will be much more productive in the long haul :-)
Way to look to the future, GoBama!!!

6. There was some talk of organizing something
over the weekend and today because they saw that Clinton was making this a sort of last stand and show of force. The Obama campaign decided to kill that idea in the crib.

4. Last thing we need
is Obama supporters and Clinton supporters hissing at each other accross barricades for the media to play in a loop all the way to the convention.

5. SUCH a refreshing way to run a political effort.
Makes Rush Limbaugh and his set look pretty damned stupid.

7. I think this is wise leadership...
...and it is consistent with the Obama campaign.

The Obama supporters who called me and showed up in my
driveway and doorstep--were respectful and gracious.

The campaign is always encouraging people to be better.

I'm glad to see this.

14. I'm in Iowa....
...just outside of Des Moines.

If I didn't have the pleasure of meeting you, I'm sure that many others did
and were massively impressed.

Obama supporters were some of the most classy, kind-hearted, intelligent and
impressive people I've ever met.

:)

27. Different Obama supporters here at DU
Respectful and gracious are the last words one could use to describe most of them here. There are a few who try to engage in meaningful discussion, but they're in the minority.

35. So what?
This is an anonymous messageboard.

Many people come here to vent. I sure don't carry the unreasonable expectation that
Hillary supporters, or Obama supporters are accurately represented within the context
of an anonymous messageboard.

I've been actively involved in the primary--as a precinct captain--and also as a delegate
at the county, district and state level. I've sat with dozens of Hillary supporters at the
conventions and had reasonable conversations.

I tend to vent my anger here, but I'm much more reasonable in person.

I think most reasonable people understand that GDP is one big, online histrionic cat fight.

We're all frustrated and exhausted. Emotions run high.

Since I can't zing one liners at the Clinton people I know in real life--it's pure joy and
a release to be able to do it here. The back and forth is a release :)

There is a vote registration drive going on in northern VA, coinciding with the Hillary protest.

12. Awesome idea
Registering people to vote is a way better idea than a counter protest. I wish I could help, but I have to work.

The mess Obama's campaign has created with the FL & MI primaries won't reflect well on the Dem party.

31. Your attempts and turning this thread into a mud-slinging event have failed as
miserably as Hil's sleaze-and-fear campaign. Thanks to all the other Obama supporters for ignoring the trolls, just like the campaign has taken to ignoring the Shrill Hill & Bill.
