"Sense and Sensitivity" or how CNN regurgitates GOP talking point of day!

Kerry spokesman Phil Singer said Thursday that Cheney was being disingenuous and twisting the four-term Massachusetts senator's words. Singer noted that President Bush had used the word "sensitive."

"Dick Cheney's desperate misleading attacks now have him criticizing George Bush's own words, who called for America to be 'sensitive about expressing our power and influence.' Dick Cheney doesn't understand that arrogance isn't a virtue, especially when our country is in danger. ... If Dick Cheney learned this lesson instead of spending his time distorting John Kerry's words, this country would be a safer place," Singer said.

Wolf Blitzer, earlier reported Phil Singer's responsse, but not the salient part that Bush has used the same words himself, as quoted above in the AP article. Blitzer's email address is wolf@cnn.com Also try, feedback@cnn.com

CNN is readying a segment as we speak on the subject entitled: "Sense and Sensitivity." Looks like they are ready to regurgitate today's GOP talking point! I am not amused!

1. CNN just reported tightened up Kerry campaign response. Good for them!
"Arrogance isn't a virtue when the lives of our men and women are on the line."

Not bad, but CNN needs to be reminded to let its viewers know that George Bush has used the same word when he called for America to be "sensitibe about expresing our power and influence."

2. Bush has ZERO sense and ZERO sensitivity
Bush is a completely incompetent moron. He wouldn't make it as a CEO for a corporation. His a** would have been already fired for all of his screw-ups.

3. When I first heard this quote by Kerry
I thought he misspoke and meant to say 'sensible' or something like that, but not sensitive. That really was a dumb thing to say. Voters don't want to hear the commander-in-chief talking about waging a sensitive war on terror when you're dealing with fanatics that blow themselves up, run airliners into skyscrapers, kill innocent civilians, etc... It sounds weak, and goes against everything he tried to achieve with the convention.

The Bush quote may help to diffuse this, but he probably said that before 911. And if thats the case, then using it would make Kerry look like he's the one misleading about Bush. He just shouldn't have said 'sensitive' in the first place.

4. Read the full quote - there is nothing wrong with it!

Kerry said: 'I believe I can fight a more effective, more thoughtful, more strategic, more proactive, more sensitive war on terror that reaches out to other nations and brings them to our side and lives up to American values in history.'

If we aren't sensitive to our allies concerns, we will lose in the long run.

Cheney is just pulling things out of context, something our side needs to learn how to do.
