Do you want this: http://therealmccain.com/ ?

My mom was 100% behind John Edwards; I was, too. He is no longer a candidate, though, and has endorsed Senator Obama. Senator Obama has committed to be a partner in John's Half in Ten anti-poverty campaign. Will you partner with them?

created the world in 7 days, doesn't make it true...

2. Oh for fucks sake - Stop already
There are very few people here who will not vote for Obama and even most those will eventually.

You are perpetuating the myth that there is some big group of Dems that won't support Obama in Nov.

20. Because Marrah should have been given the benefit of the doubt
that she didn't know and would not have responded to the OP that way if she did. It was rude to call out on assumed behavior.

18. It was the subject of dozens of threads and at one point all 5 greatest threads were a tribute
to her.

But beyond that you would have a pretty good clue that something unusual is up when the poster makes two referenes to her mother in a short OP.

There is another thread today where a daughter was talking about her mother and I don't understand why in these circumstances that people cannot restrain themselves.

These harsh words are not being read by strangers but younger folks who are doing something out of love of their parents.

It was obvious that there was some kind of mother daughter connection in the OP and that should have been enough.

I made my comments more explicit in the reply so that others coming onto the thread would have a heads up.

I find it interesting that you are more interested in the feelings of some foul mouthed poster than a daughter greiving her mother.

Please don't come down on her so hard. We all get frustrated and passionate at times.

I don't doubt we could get the job done.

I think we need to get our folks out of Iraq though, before we'll have the money and national attention to really focus on this. Just my suspicion.

38. Thanks, zidzi. Here's what Edwards and Obama said:
"This is not OK. And for eight long, long years, this wall has gotten taller. Yesterday, I was in Philadelphia. And I was announcing an initiative to cut poverty in American in half in the next ten years. And I am proud to say, today, that Barack Obama stands with me in this cause."

-John Edwards

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/14/us/politics/14text-edwards.html

------------------------------------

"I moved to Chicago more than two decades ago to lift up neighborhoods that were devastated by joblessness and poverty when the local steel plants closed. And today, I can tell you that the fight I waged then, the fight that John is waging right now, will be a fight I carry into the White House for the next four years, because that fight is not done. It has not even been started by this White House. We're going to have to change things around, because we need to lift up every American out of poverty. That is one of the goals of the Democratic Party. That's what we're going to be fighting for.

A few days ago, John announced that he'll be running a new campaign, a campaign to cut poverty in half over the next 10 years. Well today, as John indicated, I want to make sure that everybody knows that he will have a partner in that effort, because that is a goal that I will set as president of the United States of America."
