Obama picks up three superdelegates from Hawaii

Hawai'i Democrats selected three Obama supporters to fill its remaining superdelegate slots at their state convention Sunday, including the new chair and vice chair of the party.

Chairman Brian Schatz and vice chairwoman Kari Luna say they will support Obama at the national convention. State Democrats chose retired Judge James Burns, also an Obama supporter, as the final superdelegate.

The three Obama supporters are among the state's nine superdelegates, only two of whom support Obama's rival Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Among Hawai'i's pledged delegates, Obama leads Clinton 14-6

I'm trying to wean myself off of her crass entertainment.

Little else was talked about. Obama's speech and the 3 supers endorsing
made the news here on the local channel.

27. I really do keep trying not to look
but like that bad car wreck on the interstate, when you all have to slow down and go by, one by one, so there is that little window of time to take a look, even though you know you are going to hate what you see, and then you drive a lot slower for a while, thinking, oh, man, those poor people ... that's what she's doing to this campaign --slowing it down and giving everybody a look at something that is tragic and disturbing.
