Jokesters prank call Superdelegates pretending to be Hillary Clinton
This is pretty silly, but I thought it was kind of funny.

2. Glad to give someone a chuckle.
I guess everyone else around here is too wound up for a bit of amusement.

5. RESULTS: Fair to poor. No superdelegates bribed or blackmailed. However, that any of these obviously
phony calls lasted longer than five seconds is a goddamn miracle, and a testament to the stupidity of congressional staffers.

MORAL: None.

6. Speaking of bribery, these guys once got the mayor of Ottawa to 'rig' the NHL playoffs.
They were posing as the Mayor of Buffalo.

MC: And they’re very, very good neighbors there. And they might be able to talk to Dell, or Nortel and, uh, get a few volunteers who are prepared to move down to Buffalo if you can assure that the Senators will win at least…three out of the next four games.

BEAST: (Stunned) Oh! I don’t think that would be a problem…Well, three out of four—that’s kind of a stretch. I think…Well, I mean, it’s definitely something to consider. I’m glad to hear, at least, that you’re receptive.

8. Yeah, no kidding! These are pretty lame, actually.
I would think a nation inured to Howard Stern and the like would react more quickly than some of these.

9. True, but that's the power of using her voice.
No matter how weird it sounds... in fact the weirder she gets, the funnier it is to me.

13. There are laws broken here.
Edited on Sun May-25-08 04:08 PM by KSinTX
"Wiretapping" is legal terminology for basically recording phone conversations without telling the other person on the phone ahead of time that you're recording the conversation. Regardless if yours is a one-person notification state or not, to broadcast in public requires a release.

15. I too think this is wrong.
I don't think sending out calls like this is going to help swing the remaining Supers in our favour.
