I have had a few of them too,and for the most part they were good.I ate a passion fruit too but I am not sure if it was ripe or I ate it correctly because it was bland and bitter.I love passion fruit anything. The mangosteen I tried was as a juice. It didn't look pretty it was brown and chunky but it tastes pretty good, not delish but good and unique..oh but the jokes we were making about it's umm..texture it almost had me snorting mangosteen out my nose..And Acai Berries rock,dragon fruit kicks ass too.I have a thing for food adventures,I'm willing to taste any food, It can't hurt. I can always spit it out and brush my teeth,and remember whatever it was tastes foul and to stay away from it.

My sisters friend 5 years ago made some weird soybean stuff and it was fermented and fried.. OMG it was the most awful tasting crap that I ever had, it was nearly impossible to swallow the tiny bite I had taken.I had no place to spit it.It was at a party.

The second most gross thing I ever had was skate,sorta like a small freshwater sand colored speckled version of a stingray..it tasted good flavor wise kinda reminiscent of cucumber but not. Skate has a unique taste but the texture was revolting it was like eating just the cartilage on a chicken leg joint.Yecch.

As for how I get exotic fruits my friends know getting weird fruits are always a good gift for me if they can't figure out anything,weird culinary stuff is fun and I share it too..
