Obama, please announce your VP choice soon

Hillary Clinton made an idiotic remark. I don't think she meant anything by it. I just think she has once again demonstrated the utter incompetence of her campaign. She had made a similar comment before and no one told her not to do it again? What a dreadful campaign operation she has. She may be a good senator, but she's overrated as a national leader. Her campaign is an embarrassment, and she ends up looking like an ass.

There is no good reason why she should would try to plant the assassination meme. It hardly helps her in the short run. It won't win her more delegates. And, even if Obama is assassinated, a lot of Obama supporters will blame her, making her a poor choice to unify the Democratic Party.

But, I think she would be the likely choice if Obama has not selected a VP candidate. I think Wesley Clark would be the best choice because it's a rejection of Hillary Clinton, an olive branch to her supporters, Clark has some great credentials, and some of Obama's most powerful enemies would be equally afraid of Clark as President.

is Hillary being President. They don't give a rat's ass about Clark. He is a means to an end, not some esteemed figure who can stand in for Hillary.

There are a lot in the Northeast, where she's quite popular. Every single one of them I know will absolutely support Obama in the GE and none of them dislike him.

within or without of context. :wtf:

"If Obama is assassinated" is similar in structure to "if Obama is nominated" or "if Obama is elected." The latter two are possible eventualities. The former, while a remote possibility for any candidate, shouldn't sound like a predictable eventuality, IMHO.

6. He'll likely announce in July or August

Typically, nominees announce their running mate just prior to the convention.

And I don't think he should be rushed into doing it.

So there will be some excitement building up to the Convention and will have everyone talking after it is over... :-)
