McCain/Bush not able to sell enough tickets to fill Phoenix Convention Center
Edited on Fri May-23-08 11:17 PM by mystieus
http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/mobile/stories/2008/05/19/daily77.html?surro

A Tuesday fundraiser headlined by President Bush for U.S. Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign is being moved out of the Phoenix Convention Center.

Sources familiar with the situation said the Bush-McCain event was not selling enough tickets to fill the Convention Center space, and that there were concerns about more anti-war protesters showing up outside the venue than attending the fundraiser inside.

I'm feeling good about November.

12. At one time, repubs would pay it, the corporations and their lobbyists...
even they know a losing proposition now. It IS indicative of where the big money thinks this election is going and they aren't betting on McCain.

7. They're about to move it to the basement of some dude named Al.

As soon as he moves the Christmas decorations out of the way, there'll be plenty of room.

14. There were A LOT of us planning to go.

I'm pretty sure there would have been more of us outside than would fill a sold-out event on the inside.

But the fact that they've moved it to a house? They must have sold, what, 16 tickets total? Now that's funny!
