Why are people excusing or defending Clinton's words?

I am sorry you feel so attached to her that you can't see she that she made a mistake. That is very Clintonesque, that inability to apologize and recognize ones errors. Well, she made one.

when race, death, or assassination is mentioned in a current political situation it makes people uncomfortable and they attempt to explain the unexplainable.
