2. I haven't turned on the tv this week.
It's better that way.

Of course, I just have rabbit-ears and 5 channels, so there isn't much to miss.

3. I typically don't watch much TV ...
And none during the day...

I don't miss it at all.

I'll watch Jim Lehrer tonight, or whoever's taking his place.

11. I don't turn on the TV unless there is something on I really want to see.
Like Bill Moyers, Frontline, etc.

I think it is part of the reason that I am sometimes really out of step with people here. All the adoration and rage at specific newscasters and supposed pundits really baffles me.

Hope you had some nice music on your iPod!

17. I was at the movies today
My wife and I went to see the fourth Indiana Jones movie. When we came home, I turned the TV on in the middle of Hardball and that's the first I heard of this. Kind of wish I'd popped in a DVD instead.

30. Liked it a lot
It's still not to the level of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (but it'd be hard to top the original), but I think it really caps the series off better than "Last Crusade" did. I think it succeeds with an older Indiana Jones in the same way "Rocky Balboa" handled the aging Rocky very well and respectfully.

35. You like documentaries? Check out The Life of Birds.
It's Netflix, because I'm in the boonies and the only way I can get a good variety is through them.

Dreamkeeper was pretty good, highlighting Native American tales interwoven with a modern story of a young man and his father.

Tonight's flick is The Diving Bell and the Butterfly :)

I'm only on disc number 1 of 3 and it's absolutely fascinating. Wait until you see how the crows get grubs :)

I'm a bird fanatic, anyway. I've always enjoyed their presence wherever I live and do whatever I can to encourage them to hang around. :)

ETA, you think I've got enough smilies in this post, haha

I'm streaming a Sonic Youth special right now on a college radio station. Interview with Thurston Moore at the moment.
They're OK.

Might watch Spurs/Lakers in a little while, nurse a beer over at a local tavern.

These are the thrills.

48. I haven't watched it, but that's nothing new.
I usually turn it on about 7, and watch a movie or let old reruns go in the background while I read.

I never watch tv news.

I never watch tv talk shows.

I tune in CSPAN every once in awhile; I'm rarely home when it's live.

I do read the news; I prefer it that way. I haven't read any news since 5 am this morning, though.
