Wouldnt Obama Supporters Get A Kick Out Of The Obama Haters Having To Vote For Him If Hillary Was VP
Even the biggest most passionate Hillary supporters would feel compelled to vote for Obama for president if he picked Hillary as Vp, wouldn't that make the Obama Supporters chuckle a bit? The same people that are forwarding these nasty emails about him would have to do there part to put him into the white house, wouldn't that feel pretty great to some of you? You'd certainly get the last laugh. Sure, Hillary would be around the white house, but she wouldn't live there and Obama would be her boss. He would be in charge and have the last call on everything. He could send her to a funeral in India while he's addressing the nation on all the imprortant matters of the day (no these aren't sexist statements, the president is the boss and they have always sent vps to do stuff like funerals). It would probably eat away at them every night knowing that Obama is president and they voted for him to become president.

Isn't that the ultimate payback?

I think if Obama chose her as VP they'd probably win and Obama supporters would wake up everyday with Obama as president and Hillary supporters would never be fully satisfied. In some way I think this would be a worse punishment to them than not having her on the ticket at all. For them to have to live with Hillary playing second fiddle to Obama and that they voted for him to become our two term president. That's like death by a thousand cuts to a Hillary fanatic.

But most likely if he chose her as VP we'd all get over our bitterness, put it behind us, and stop fighting over dumb shit. Hillary people would probably grow to like Obama and Obama people would grow to like her, especially if she was an effective attack dog that defended Obama during the general. That would really get Obama supporters to say "hell yea Hillary!" And I guarantee she'd be a hell of an attack dog (that's not sexist, vps are often called attack dogs during elections). So I'm actually hoping he picks her just so we can all get along. But for you nutty Obama supporters, you'll be able to get some twisted pleasure out of it as well. So we all kinda win!

1. No!
I wouldn't find any comfort or joy in having Hillary as VP. I'd just be waiting for her to stab him in the back (perhaps literally) so she could have his office.

Hillary or McCain makes no difference to me - Hillary talks differently but I don't think the policies would be any different.

Your words are, "Hillary or McCain makes no difference to me." What does that actually mean? You mean you will NOT VOTE for Hillary but WOULD RATHER CHOOSE McCain?

But you've brought up an interesting point. What if there IS A UNITY TICKET with them both on it???? What will we do then?

(Skinner, come here. I want you.)

Also, Obama has already said NO, resoundingly, several times to a 'unity ticket' so forget that.

Do I need to find you the quote? Its the one where McCain seemed to have more experience to be President than Obama.

I'm sure you remember.

"I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. Sen. John McCain has a lifetime of experience that he'd bring to the White House. And Sen. Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

Your own candidate would have been Tomb Stoned here.

What a hypocrite!

*Edited to insert the quote.

I made the mistake of listening to Rachel Maddow (whom I really like, but she has a mad-on for this election tonight and it is all anti-Hillary, folks).

Oh, well. Talk show hosts have to keep things stirred up. You gotta admit, it's great radio when people are fighting.

That reminds me:

The day that Gary Gilmore, the murderer, was scheduled to be executed, I was on the air from 10AM to 2PM. I was so firmly against capital punishment that I furiously auctioned off all of his body parts while on the air.

Later that week, I got a four-page, single-spaced letter from a Boston widow with children. Her husband was a guard at one of the Massachusetts prisons, and he was tending to some murderer one day.

The murderer pulled a zip-gun that he had fashioned from some spare cutlery and other metal. He killed her husband that day. The murderer was already sentenced to life in prison without parole.... and she said he never faced the death penalty. So, where does it end?

Made me think a lot. Basically, I now believe there are some people who should not be kept alive by the state.

Sorry, but this is for people who think I've never changed my mind.

Who gives a shit about payback in the primaries when we can stop people from dying, while stopping our country from going bankrupt at the same time?

So in terms of payback? No, that's really not necessary or desired. Lets focus people.

I was alive and using another name before I was married. I use my maiden name on everything except legal documents (where I am not allowed to).

I'm proud of it... and wish I had shared my mother's last name, too. (That is the Spanish custom.)

Here is my name: Ms. Ellen Kimball

Please don't define Hillary as a WIFE RIDING HIS COAT TAILS. First of all, there are no coat tails except in formal weddings.

I believe you are SEXIST, but then again, I've been called RACIST and I know what it is to fend off these rotten names.

If Clinton is elected, then she will be President HILLARY Clinton. She could have run as RODHAM and we would all have known that she is certainly as capable, smart, willing, and trustworthy as the other person in her life.

Compared to McCain? It isn't even a race.

However I think we need a person on the ticket with executive experience to aid the administration. Two Senators is not a balanced ticket. We need an experienced govenor. Plus she's Catholic and her father was govenor of Ohio. She's from a red state with alot of hard working white folks too.

She just has way more upside than Hillary and wouldn't be a drag on the ticket because she doesn't have the negatives.

30. That doesn't factor in for me-I truly do want a change
We've seen on numerous occasions how Clinton has disrespected us with lies and pandering.

I would love to think that that is just how she is when campaigning and that somehow she'd become more truthful once elected, but when you look at her past--she has let us down so badly during times when it truly mattered.

Was her IWR vote for pandering purposes too? What about her vote on Iran? We simply cannot trust this woman to act with integrity when it really counts. We need someone who will do the right thing even when it is not poll tested. Not only should her VP bid be defeated, she also doesn't deserve her seat in NY. I look forward to seeing a liberal dem with integrity take over her seat in 2012.

That would have to be one oddly vindictive Obama supporter. Kind of like shooting yourself in the foot to piss off your cobbler.

44. I'd wager there are FAR more Obama people here
who wouldn't vote for Clinton than Clinton supporters who wouldn't vote for Obama.

Hell, there are Obama supporters here who say they won't vote for him if Clinton's the VP.

No, when it comes to blind, stupid hate, you guys have cornered the market.

113. I'm one of them and I proudly admit it.
I am a independent that is voting democrat because of what Barack Obama stands for. I am highly agnist what Hillary Clinton represents. I have that right and no I'm not sexist I'm a woman with values. I don't vote just because of a party, I have to believe in the candidate.

If the candidate I've chosen so far does a 180 turn and goes down the old political path and picks something I am agnist ..yes he will lose my vote. I have that right as does he.

It's not hate with me, it's principles.

90. I take no pleasure in the unhappiness of others.
It's against my religion... (see I Corinthians ch13 if further explanation is needed:))

I don't want Hillary on the ticket no-how, no-way... for political and ethical reasons. The idea (which I disagree with, btw) that having the VP slot would cause her and Bill unhappiness and put them in a position to be humiliated by Obama is a deterrent to me, not an incentive. In spite of the position we are now in, other Democrats are not the enemy.

Putting Hillary on the ticket will not get these Hillary supporters to vote for him. This whole charade is just a ploy because they know it will never happen, and they can continue with the "Hillary is a victim" song-and-dance They will settle for nothing less than Hillary at the top of the ticket.

At least among the GD-P bowl-o-nuts - it'll turn off hardcore Hil-haters (which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing), and not placate the hardcore Obama-haters.
