Fifty-two percent of the 624 registered voters surveyed said they would choose Kerry, a four-term Massachusetts senator, if the election were held now, and 32 percent said they would pick Bush. Three percent said they would vote for independent candidate Ralph Nader or a third-party candidate, the Star-Ledger reported today.
In a May survey, Kerry, 60, led Bush, 58, by 6 percentage points, the Newark, New Jersey-based newspaper said. The latest poll was conducted July 30, after the Democratic National Convention concluded, through Aug. 4; it has an error margin of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

I didn't trust those polls that showed Bush running neck and neck with Kerry in NJ. I knew it couldn't be true.
