Pastor receives fax urging him to vote for the real believer in Jesus

http://bethanychurchplant.blogspot.com/2008/05/did-hillary-clinton-fax-this-to-me.html

Did Hillary Clinton Fax This To Me?

I don't talk politics. However when I came into my office today I found this FAX in the tray. I know politics are fierce but if her organization did this: I am shocked!! What do they want us to do? Tell our church people to vote for Hillary? And lose our 501(c)3 tax status?

Dear Pastor:

Kentucky and Oregon now hold the keys to our Christian nation's future. Next Tuesday a decision will be made as to which of two candidates is most suited to become the next president of the United States.

One of these candidates, in spite of alleged faults, is a believer in Jesus. The other, in spite of assertions to the contrary is not.

Faith in Christ, and in His atoning blood, is the only hope for salvation.

Sure, hope may be preached, and change may be promised, but without Christ it is a false hope, and a deadly change.

Yes, Christianity may be worn as a politically-correct uniform. Yes, the media may defend, and glorify their chosen one, and attempt to bully his opponent into capitulating. But, as they did in West Virginia, let Christians in the Appalachians, and the Cascades, stand up and say: Enough!

Let Kentucky be the levee that holds the floodwaters of the anticrist.

Let Oregon be the firewall that breaks the brushfire of apostasy, ere it devours our nation.

Onward Christian soldiers!
With Sincerity,
From Concerned Christians

1. Why do you think this came from Clinton's camp?
I don't see her name or any reference to her on this... am I missing something?

8. The use of the words ""hope" and "change" make it clear that Obama is targeted.
Whether Hillary's campaign did it or not, the message is clear: "Beware of hope and change. Vote against Obama."

I hope that it backfires.

12. great comment to that blog by 10 year veteran who now supports Obama
Check out this comment to the stupid blog:

Anonymous said...
I'm a 10 year military veteran and independent voter who was originally a McCain supporter because of his service record. As I learned more about his views, I immediately shot to the "Hillary" side because I was a big fan of the Clinton era and didn't know much about Obama.

But as I listened more and more...became appalled by the deceitful tactics of Hillary AND Bill (I'm now a FORMER fan!)...and began looking at the REAL platform of Obama, it became clear that he is the best candidate for president.

As a combat soldier, I'd go anywhere I'm told and fight with honor. But I want to know that the person making that decision for me is carefully considering the impact...on me...my family...the world...the people in the area I'll be fighting in.

The only candidate in this election who took the time to READ the intelligence information BEFORE Iraq was Obama. With such an important decision to be made, you DON'T just simply "get a briefing from someone who read it" like Hillary and McCain did. You actually READ IT YOURSELF. That's called judgement.

I can also tell you that I HAVE been shot at by snipers with a bullet zinging about 2 inches from my left ear while climbing a wall during combat. It's a moment you NEVER forget...EVER! Hillary's comment about being under sniper fire which wasn't true and later stating that she was tired and her memory escaped her was one thing...a LIE! Hillary supporters can justify it to themselves as much as they want, but I'm telling you from someone who has "been there", and any other soldier will tell you the same...being under fire is NOT something you forget on even your most "tired" days.

And when you're NOT a soldier and you face the possibility of coming under fire? It's even MORE embedded in your mind.

This was the final nail in the coffin of my support for Hillary.

I'm now an active campaign volunteer for Obama and travel around knocking on doors telling my story (I've never been "involved" in politics before).

After talking to hundreds (close to a thousand?) of residents in 3 states, the one thing that I find so surprising and yet so intriguing is exactly what you see on this blog...

...the way that this one single campaign has brought out the BEST and the WORST in people.

It's united some...and divided others.

I've learned just how racist some of my closest family members are and how closely people can be pulled together when they're inspired by hope and the possibility that they can actually DO something to help this country.

No matter which way you vote...Obama...Hillary...McCain...whatever...

DON'T get pulled into idiotic accusations and looney rumors. If you care about your country as much as you'd like to THINK you do, then DO THE WORK!

Be skeptical...do the research...find the TRUTH.

Ain't it funny how the pseudo religious always try to hang it on Jesus instead of the perp?

4. It seems more likely to be the fundie version of Operation Chaos, imo, targeting...
churches, rather than anything the Clinton campaign would authorize or support.

6. As a Christian, Obama is EASILY the best candidate if that's what you're looking at to influence you
Edited on Mon May-19-08 10:28 AM by mystieus
Obama is a faithful Christian if we look at how he not only attends church WAY more often, but works more closely with his church, and talks more openly about coming to Christ in interviews and his book.

7. The phrase "as they did in West Virginia..." would lead me to believe...
...this is more pro Clinton than pro Obama. Still, I doubt it is something sanctioned by the Clinton Campaign.

13. There are all sorts of fundies out there...
most are not insane(fortunately for the rest).

Under Jewish Law, unless one simply converts to Judaism, one must be born to a Jewish Mother. The opposite holds true for Islam--they trace from the Father. In Obama's case, his father is muslim so he would be considered muslim by that community. Since he is apparently a christian, he would be considered apostate by other Muslims.

The Koran is quite specific about this...and about the penalty for being apostate.

Faxes like this one are generally generated by the kooks amongst us. We have so many of those, that we could sell them quite cheaply at yardsales and swapmeets.
