I'm an Obama supporter, but...
I think the caucuses are undemocratic and unAmerican, and that therefore, the results of the caucuses should be deleted from this primary season, and only the delegates won from primaries should count (and that includes the Michigan and Florida primaries, obviously).

Furthermore, I think that Obama has had an unfair advantage in this race, since he's smarter, better organized, and an overall savvier campaigner than Hillary is. Those factors should not count, as they simply are not relevant to the outcome of the general election.

I'm saying all this as a very devout and loyal Obama supporter.

1. I am becoming convinced that voting is unamerican - as most do not vote
or stay informed. Consequently, I think Bush should just declare himself king. Besides the money raised for elections is obscene and doing away with voting would save money that could be given to Halliburtin.

31. as a member of a caucus state, something our rules support and
ALWAYS HAVE, I am sick of the slams. Thanks for ranking us down. I thought we were dems but I guess we aren't.

19. I like that toon. I totally agree with the point it's making.
Hillary really should automatically get 50% more delegates, to make up for the obvious disadvantages deriving from the possession of a vagina. If these rules had been observed, Hillary would be the nominee without question, which is the way it should be (though I hasten to add that I AM an Obama supporter). :)

4. Actually, since the elections are decided by just a few people anyway
think of how much money we could save by just identifying those few people to start with and just asking them! The rest of us could just stay home and wait for the results. It would be much faster, too!

(Yes, I know, I ready that sci-fi story a long time ago too, but I can't remember who wrote it...)

6. And we should also discount all states where Obama advertised heavily because
he raised more money and economized while Hillary spent like a drunken sailor and its simply NOT FAIR!

10. Oh, and don't forget the 'black vote'...
People voting for him merely because of the advantage of his skin color shouldn't count either.

21. Yes. The votes from black people, as well as those from "latte" whites
should simply be deleted from the total, and the delegates reapportioned accordingly. I'm sure that everyone would understand that it's for the best, and get behind Hillary in the general.

7. uh, we are a representative democracy
you'd have to change lots to make us a true democracy.

The party loves caucuses because it encourages active party members. You have to do something besides show up to vote to participate in a caucus. Those who volunteer, canvas, donate, GOTV, those are the people who participate in caucuses and we need them to win in November.

Anyone can vote in a primary. If "the other side" wanted to screw with us, they could vote for a weak dem candidate (ala what Rush was advocating this time) and we'd be screwed.

I like this system. I like this year's election. I love how we've picked our candidate this year. (a tad unfortunate for the Clintons. They need to do some repair and I trust they will.)

The media has talked dems non stop all year. McCain is already a has been.

22. Not fair. I'm a fat slob who likes to sit around in from of the TV eating Cheetos
and drinking beer. I don't see why my vote should be any less important than those of the elitist "active party members". Not a fair system at all.

15. It is all very confusing to me crunchy frog. Do we have to throw out the
female votes - because of course they all voted for Hillary. That's biased, right? And what about the hard-working white american non-gay votes? Those are the "real americans" so they should get counted at least 3 or 4 times.

I'm not sure Obama should even be allowed to be a candidate because he is educated. That could make him a latte liberal, right? So maybe we should delete all of it and start over with just Hillary as a candidate.

I am also a very loyal and devout Obama supporter!

25. Those are the real, true, salt of the Earth American votes.
They should absolutely be counted. I have no problem with educated candidates, but they should be able to appeal to real, salt of the Earth, hardworking Americans who were too hard working to like, ever read a book or those elitist kinds of things. I'm sure you can see the logic in my position.

The caucus talking point could be legitimate if everyone talking about it lived in caucus states and if there was no possible current electoral agenda in raising the issue.
But of course...

You or anyone can be against the caucuses. But, once the rules are in place and all candidates agree to them then you just can't go around later and start changing the rules. Maybe they should go, I don't know or shouldn't go, but now isn't the time for this.

I think big wigs started them to sneak in a candidate that they wanted elected. Much like sneaking in the back door of Diebold to steal an election.
