That video showing Kerry's "contradictory" statements on Iraq is being viewed and circulated all over the web. And it is going to be spread all over even more. Kerry's written counterpunch apparently not strong enough to combat this? What do you think?

1. Iraq is a mess
I think that is what the public is thinking

Bush is trying to blame Kerry for Iraq now. (Bush is asking Kerry, Would you have gone into Iraq knowing what we know now--yes or no?)

I think that makes Bush look weak. And the only thing Bush has going for him (other than God anointed him king) is that he is perceived as a strong leader.

2. Kerry Must Fight Back/We Can Help
For example, in talking to people who bring this up say
"I don't think Kerry's really been contradictory, you can take any quote out of context."
OR
"I personally am more comfortable with a President who may appear to have mixed feelings on a war but still get it done than one who always thinks he is right and doesn't want to acknowledge the human cost."
OR
"Look at what he does, not what he says. He did vote for the Iraqi War Resolution. Yes he voted against the $87 Billion because he believed that if our men and women in the military were going to make sacrifices, our millionaires should too"
(remember that there was an amendment to pay for the resolution by rolling back tax cuts on the wealthiest Americans)

3. if you mention the 87 billion, ALWAYS mention the fact that
Bush threatened to VETO the version for which Kerry voted

THEN, ask the creature with whom you're discussing this to explain, or REFUTE this FACT

see how that works

that's really all one needs to say about that

5. I Forgot To Add...
on the $87 billion -
do you mean to say President Bush sent our men & women over there without proper equipment?
(I don't know why no one ever brings this up)
and, I am still reading of soldiers without body armor, even though the $87 billion passed - but no one asks where our government spent that $87 billion.

Kerry won't say it, he may not even feel it, but, my fellow DUers -we have been swindled.
