Slow day for Superdelegate Endorsements...
Anyone have a good idea why there have been so few SD endorsements today? Last Friday there were over 10 combined and since then there has been a pretty steady stream for Obama, but today only 1 for each... Did something happen?

1. I think it's the outrage over Bush's Hitler appeaser comments
I don't the media focus on that for a while--it helps Obama!

3. Preparing for a post-Oregon push I imagine- don't really need them today for PR purposes
Hillary's WV win is already a fading memory.

4. I think he's getting so close to the Pelosi number that some folks are sitting tight.
Why go out on a limb (even a tiny one) if you don't have to?

That's my guess.

5. They roll them out to enhance good news, and cover for bad
I expect there will be some major announcements starting Wednesday.

6. Friday's not the day to release good news
People are tuned out. Friday is the day you release bad news, hoping that it vanishes in the haze.

11. Precisely.
The White House also tends to dump bad economic news, half-assed appointments, etc on Friday afternoon. The reporters are already too busy drinking to push matters.

7. Just a guess: Obama got more mileage from Edwards than expected...
So he closed the spigot a little bit.

Complete guess.

10. Obama campaign is holding them for Tuesday and end this thing with pledged delegates
rather than SDs because he is CLOSE.

12. They probably don't want to distract the media from the Bush story...I would
hold on to them until I needed to release some. Once this quiets down I would continue with the steady stream...

13. It's a Friday afternoon. No use burning them; they'd rather just coast on Edwards/Bush.
