Obama freaking kicked ASS with that speech in South Dakota.

I've never felt so hopeful in my life. Thank you Barack Obama!

1. I love when he calmly and deliberately takes apart their crap and points out
what they're trying to do, like ripping the curtain off the rod of the Wizard of Oz.

Gobama!!!

9. I know! Why can't other Dems (besides Dean and a few others) do this as well?
Really, it's not hard to point out the stupidity of their crap and make utter fools of these morons. The Daily Show does it all the time.

5. I really think how he so calmly handles...
these press generated crises, is going to convince many that would not vote normally Dem, or even AA, to actually vote for him.

17. Yes! In fact, I've often marveled at the great synchronicity that brought him to this point in his
life at precisely the time that we are about to end an 8-year long national nightmare: how sorely needed
are his skills and talents as well as his calm but determined attitude at this point in our history.

I've never put this into words before (at least not in writing) for obvious reasons, but I really do feel
that it's amazingly serendipitous that someone with his unique qualifications - regardless of race - has presented
at this time, to help lift us out of the unholy mess we're in.

15. Hope

Hope, the greatest evil in Pandora's Box.

But, said the fisher men, we had hope then to make a better gain of it. Saith Mr. Bacon well my Maisters, then Ile tell you; hope is a good Breakfast but it is a Bad supper.
<1661 W. Rawley Resuscitatio (ed. 2) 298>

Hope. Pandora brought the jar with the evils and opened it. It was the gods' gift to man, on the outside a beautiful, enticing gift, called the "lucky jar." Then all the evils, those lively, winged beings, flew out of it. Since that time, they roam around and do harm to men by day and night. One single evil had not yet slipped out of the jar. As Zeus had wished, Pandora slammed the top down and it remained inside. So now man has the lucky jar in his house forever and thinks the world of the treasure. It is at his service; he reaches for it when he fancies it. For he does not know that that jar which Pandora brought was the jar of evils, and he takes the remaining evil for the greatest worldly good--it is hope, for Zeus did not want man to throw his life away, no matter how much the other evils might torment him, but rather to go on letting himself be tormented anew. To that end, he gives man hope. In truth, it is the most evil of evils because it prolongs man's torment.

Nietzsche

I'm so used to either glazing over or feeling that stabbing pain behind my eyes when Bush is blathering.
