McCain to Bush in 2000: You should be ashamed
Does this sound familiar to anyone?

http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0002/15/lkl.00.html

<snip>

MCCAIN...

But let me tell you what really went over the line. Governor Bush had an event, and he paid of it, and standing -- and stood next to a spokesman for a fringe veterans' group. That fringe veteran said that John McCain had abandoned the veterans.

Now, I don't know if you can understand this, George, but that really hurts, that really hurts.

And so five United States senators, Vietnam veterans, heroes, some of them really incredible heroes, wrote George a letter and said, Apologize, you should be ashamed...

BUSH: Let me speak to that.

MCCAIN: You should be ashamed. Now if you want...

Goes on for a while, Bush sputters embarrassingly before Alan Keyes saves him by changing the subject...

1. Same dirty tricks.................
different victim. Rove distanced both himself and his puppet from them a little bit this time.

Why can't the American people see what slime balls these people are? They think Dumbya is such a fine and honest man. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yet they continue their adoration of this moronic bully, blissfully ignoring what everyone else sees in him.

:puke:  :puke:

7. Because some of those Americans are slimeballs themselves!
That's why they don't seem to mind. They know its wrong, but they don't care. It's about winning, fuck honor. Those Americans probably don't even know how to spell integrity or use it in a sentence, let alone hold it up as a value.

They're scum, and are attracted to scum. It's that simple.

2. Nice reasoning, Dumbya!
"Warren Rudman, the man who you had as your campaign man in New Hampshire, said about the Christian Coalition that they're bigots. He talked about the Christian Coalition in a way that was incredibly strong. I know you don't believe that, do you?"

McCain said that was his opinion. Bush said that the vet was entitled to his, RIGHT after Bush tried to distance himself from the vet attacking McCain. Bush is whining about his precious Christian Coalition.

Hypocrite!

George W. Bush is a world-class asshole!

4. Every time I see McCain standing next to Bush or speaking in support
of Bush, it makes me ill - very ill. He must be one heck of a forgining guy. The cabal knows no bounds.

McCain Statement on Ted Sampley

Republican Senator John McCain's press secretary, Marshall Wittman, has just released this statement, which I now share with all of you.

Statement of Senator John McCain:
"I strongly caution reporters who may be contacted by or are interested in Mr. Ted Sampley and the various organizations he claims to represent, and his opinions on the subject of Senator Kerry, or any subject for that matter, to investigate thoroughly Mr. Sampley's background and history of spreading outrageous slander and other disreputable behavior before inadvertently lending him or his allegations any credibility.

I am well familiar with Mr. Sampley, and I know him to be one of the most despicable people I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. I consider him a fraud who preys on the hopes of family members of missing servicemen for his own profit. He is dishonorable, an enemy of the truth, and despite his claims, he does not speak for or represent the views of all but a few veterans. The many veterans I know would think it a disgrace to be considered a comrade or supporter of Ted Sampley."
