Kerry and Edwards heckled in Missouri.
I saw a little of that. Many of them chanting "we want Bush!" We know these people are insane but what exactly went on there?

4. Supporters far outnumbered the hecklers but of course
the media will play up the hecklers. Here's an article:

http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=5894065

Fans of presidential nominee Kerry and running mate Edwards outnumbered taunters, yet the scene was reminiscent of a rowdy hockey crowd.

As Bush backers again chanted, "Four more years," Kerry drew cheers by predicting the end of the Bush presidency on election day. "Let them chant because they have only three more months to chant," Kerry said.

"Harry Truman came through here in 1948," Kerry said. "And when Harry was talking, people would say, 'Give 'em hell Harry,' and Harry would say, 'I just tell them the truth and they think it's hell."'

Edwards maintained a smile but at one point asked: "I just want to say to those folks who don't want to hear from us: My children are on this train. Show them some good Missouri manners."

As the train pulled away, Edwards gushed: "That was great. That was fun. When they were booing 'hope' and 'optimism,' I knew it was an interesting crowd."

5. Someone should photograph the hecklers
at each stop and see if they are the same people.

7. The Kerry/Edwards supporters need to counter-heckle those creeps.
They could shout, "Three more months! Three more months!"

10. It's media coverage...
The hecklers from earlier this week got media coverage, thus encouraging every moran from sea to shining sea to go heckle so they can get on Tee-vee.

The media should be above covering these clowns (like the way they make used to a point of NOT showing idiots who run onto sports fields) but who am I kidding.

Maybe Bush is right about keeping out the riff-raff... Mr. and Mrs. Kitchentable will now start thinking "gosh, Kerry gets heckled all the time, but Bush NEVER gets heckled... guess Bush must be right!"

Politics... it's so damn political. At least we're down to less than 90 days of this seemingly endless horseshit. I mean, horse race.

Bring on the damn debates!

It was a great rally, and we got positive press in Midmo.

12. 20,000 people are attending the Kerry/Edwards Rallies
Our local news anchor who is following them through our state, has nothing but positive news about their rallies. Sure there are going to be some dissenters, but, they are certainly not changing the atmosphere at the rallies. Myself, I didn't even see the hecklers, because of the huge crowd, they were lined up the hill into the next block from the Union Station in Kansas City.

15. That's great to hear MODemocrat!!
The way the news portrays it, it sounds like the supporters barely outnumbered the hecklers.

Sheesh!!

16. Apparently they weren't substantial enough to earn any news time
on Kansas City tv stations carrying the tour through here. Didn't hear any references to Bush supporters whatsoever.
