Astonishing story!!Bush losing support in own super-rich playground!
You may not see this anywhere else since it's such a small paper from a small island. The Bush spends a great deal of time on this island which is over 80% Republican. It's the playground of the very wealthy where they say the billionaires are crowding the millionaires out of the housing market.
But amazingly, this year Kerry is only very slightly behind Bush in donations. We were there last month and could not believe the number of Kerry stickers we saw and my husband noticed someone had scratched " Bush " under the stop in a stop sign,
I hope you'll read the whole story as there is lots more!

It's www.bocabeacon.com if you want to see the whole paper and get a feel of things.

1. he-he, thanks for posting, interesting!
I had expected to get honked off the road already over in the Red Valley of VA (near Waynesboro); but so far not one peep, only vaguely interested glances. It's happening everywhere I think...

3. I get those looks too here in the Roanoke Valley
but I see far more Kerry/Edwards signs than Bush/Cheney. I've seen only one of those. No bumper stickers except one "w". Does that mean whimp?, washedup? waster? WAS? Wuss? Wanton? Just what? Are they afraid to use all of his name? And this is repug territory.

4. The W stands for Whore but for some odd reason Bush thinks that it stands
for Vacation.

2. What this means...
...is that the rich folks living on this island know that their loot is as safe with president Kerry as with president Bush. Many of them probably like to think themselves as "social liberals" as long as their mammon is not taxed too much.
