Kerry: Simpler talk needed
I heard an "economy" soundbite with many

qualifying words - better to give the main fact alone. Toss nuances.

Use "summarizing statistics" and forget the rest. Repeat these stats over and over.

NEEDED STAT: have wages declined under bush? I read in DU that IRS says incomes were down 9% , '01, '02.
{no data on '03, 04}. I just hear on CNN, wages this year down one%.
But '03 unknow. Anyone?

This is a MAJOR STICK with which to beat the GOP.

2. If Kerry makes a single mistake the media will be on him.
So he is forced to nuance everything. Bush, of course, can and does say any stupid thing and get a pass.
