Poll question: Which Cable News Network Has The Least Biased Coverage?
I have watched CNN since it's inception until they flogged the flawed Gallup poll.... That was the proverbial last straw....

I now watch MSNBC... I hope they catch and surpass CNN in the ratings....

CNN is Fox in drag...

Which cable news network has the least biased coverage?

6. We All Have Biases...
but I have been watching MSNBC since Tuesday and they deliver the news in a straightforward non-biased manner...

CNN has more liberal commentators but they are camouflage for their conservative news spin...

Very clever.... You get your news which is supposed to be objective with a conservative spin but the commentators are liberal so you can just discount that as being one man or woman's opinion...

5. I voted for MSNBC but I still like Aaron Brown
He has become a lonely voice over there. Lou Dobbs is pig headed and conservative in most ways, but fearless also about taking on special interests, so I respect him also. I am weening myself off of CNN.

8. I Respect Lou Dobbs.
He offers his opinion but I have less respect for folks like Judy Woodruf, Bill Schneider and the feral guy, errrrrrrrrrr, Wolf Blitzer who are liberal but take a perverse delight in bring down left of center candidates like Al Gore and John Kerry....

7. The thing is, the news should be OBJECTIVELY reported, regardless of...
the political affiliations of the viewership. But, as the political winds are changing, so is the tenor of MSNBC's coverage.

To me, that's just not right. We shouldn't be pissed when they lean to the right, and then rejoice when they tilt left. We should desire them to report objectively. The net effect of this type of reportage is that people no longer consider the sources and come to their own conclusions...the wait for Hannity or Ron Reagan to do it for them.

I would rather have objectivity than bias toward majority views. Give me the facts. Let me digest them and come to my own conclusion.

What is going on "news channels" these days is entertainment, not news.

19. agreed
objective news reporting would not always be flattering to Democrats but it sure as hell wouldn't have given Bush a pass on his abysmal performance.

13. You are right about NWI, but it is not one of ours. MSNBC...
Is the one I have the most hope for, but that idiot Scarbourough needs to be canned. That guy is simply NOT a newsman-he is a Hannity wannabe.

If MSNBC is going to make it to the next level-number one-they need to get the overtly right-wing heads OFF OF THERE!.

14. It depends on the anchor
There are some non-biased anchors and reporters on CNN. Lou Dobbs is one and lately Anderson Cooper has pleasantly surprised me. When Aaron Brown was on in Seattle, he was pretty fair so I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt. John King is definitely a Dem, he did a Daily Show last year that was hilarious. Others like Paula Zahn and Wolf (Leslie) Blitzer are Repug shills and proud of it.

15. Keith Olbermann of MSNBC is fabulous---
he's fair--and he's not afraid to ask the hard questions. He more than makes up for MSNBC giving Scarborough his own damn show too.

18. They all suck....
Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 11:28 PM by Frenchie4Clark
But MSNBC sucks the least, if that's of any use.

They are all biased and many report news that isn't even news. I think that MSNBC could topple CNN if we all decided that it should. It would show our power if we could get MSNBC to surpass CNN in viewership. CNN stinks and all of it's anchors are totally unattractive. Fox reporters are laughable to even call them that. MSNBC should get rid of Joe "dead Intern found in his office" Scarborough and replace him with Ron Reagan Jr. Looks like they got rid of Debra Norville (thank God). Let them get Bill Mayer a show, and I betcha they soar in ratings overnight! But are they that smart?
