The Sleaze Boat Veterans smear and the debate over whether it will stick reminds me of the California recall campaign.

Schwarzenegger was hit with some pretty serious charges of sexual misconduct. And I have no doubt that most, if not all of it, was true. But the public rejected it as a sleazy campaign tactic.

I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen to the Sleaze Boat Veterans.
