How's this map look?
Edited on Thu Aug-05-04 08:30 PM by DinoBoy
Over at US Election Atlas, this is my latest electoral college map. Does it look reasonable to people? The colors are backwards from standard (ie, red=dem), and the darkest colors equal the highest percentage of the state vote.

Like I say on my page there, a lot of states (NV, AZ, CO, LA, AR, MO, OH, TN, FL, NC, VA, WV) will probably be won by slim margins, but I think it's well within the realm of possibility.

Opinions?

1. I'd say this map represents the best-case scenario
but definitely not impossible. Tennessee is one I'd be most skeptical of, and Florida

2. Highly optimistic
Not impossible, though

3. That would be a best case scanario for any Democrat
Kerry starts off at a disadvantage though since he's from the Northeast.

4. It's based off of electoral-vote.com
And a final popular vote for Kerry around 53-55%.

5. That is the scenario if Kerry wins by eight.

6. Mississippi
Might be a sleeper state for the Democrats. If the black vote gets turned out (and it might) in massive numbers, and if the rumors I hear about the Mississippi GOP being pissed at Bush right now are right, there's another southern state in our corner. And, frankly, I think putting Virginia on our side is a bit optimistic, but it could happen.

7. Believe in Ourselves!
Dream Big! That's what Kerry wants us to do, so I say why the hell not. Let's make it happen!
