Looks like half the political signs in our neighborhood
were stolen last night.

Just got around to looking out the front door and noticed our two signs - one for Obama and one for a magestrate candidate - were missing. My husband went down the road to see if other people's signs were gone too, and it looks like alot are gone. This is in a neighborhood where there were tons of signs up just yesterday.

Guess this means a new Obama sign is in my future.

1. Hmm, now were were all those cool ideas for booby-trapping signs from 04 & 06?
evilDUers came up with some real beauts for how to fight back against sign stealing SOBs

I like the wire/car battery ideas myself, but there were many that included doggy manure, video cameras, some sort of really sticky substances......

DUers? Help this poster's hood out!

2. They took every Obama sign on our road last month.
At least five signs. It stinks. We have more but are waiting a bit to put them out. We will keep them closer to the house this time. Sorry about your signs. It really is theft, those things aren't cheap.

3. They were just trying to be good samaritans by helping with the clean up...
perhaps they were a tad too diligent is all...

8. Nice thought but I don't think so.
I called the Township and the County to see if they were responsible and they said no and our dutiful County Dems were very clear that they have nothing to do with primary elections so I am sure that they did not pull them. In 2004 we had two Kerry signs burned in the front yard as well. These folks were probably getting an early start as well. I usually try to be positive but these Obama signs disappeared from private property throughout the area. Someone wants the message out of sight. In Ohio I intend to keep Obama and his name on the front burner through November. We need to educate as many folks as possible. Peace, Kim

4. Well, at least it wasn't just the Obama sign
From what we can tell, the only signs left are for a couple of local candidates. So I figure either their supporters stole the other signs, or someone did this as a joke.

On the bright side, I'm actually a little surprised the Obama sign lasted as long as it did.
